The Dalai Lama and His Government: Catch-22 Tibet

In August 2018, the Tibetan leadership published a new book in Taiwan which bears all the hallmarks of good propaganda material created with one intention – to use the Dorje Shugden issue to divide the community and blame China…

Approximately 100 Tibetans gathered in Dharamsala to protest against the Tibetan leadership and to call for integrity in the Tibetan leadership. Scenes like this are becoming increasingly common; even the idea that the Dalai Lama might be disturbed by their protests no longer makes these Tibetans hesitate.

Don’t harass the Dalai Lama’s critics

All of these monks and lamas have either been accused of or admitted to sexual impropriety, or taking advantage of their positions to have inappropriate relationships with their students and women. All of these lamas have not been sanctioned by the Tibetan leadership and, in many cases, enjoyed the continued endorsement of the Tibetan leadership in spite of the allegations. All of these lamas also do not practice Dorje Shugden and hence whatever they do is excusable, so as long as they remain financially lucrative for the Tibetan leadership.

The Tibetan leadership cannot seem to make up their minds about their stance towards China. On one hand, they say that the Chinese leadership are the root of all their problems. On the other hand, they say a "One China" policy can help their cause. Yet it was this same policy that is supposed to be the root of all their problems. The Tibetan leadership's incredible double standards extends to the point they will say anything just to ensure they stay on their donor's good side (in this case Donald Trump), even if it means undermining what the Tibetan people have struggled for for 60 years.

Despite the immense scholarship and attainments between all of these lamas, if they were alive today, none of them would be allowed back to Gaden Monastery for the sole reason that they all practiced Dorje Shugden. Make A Difference Today: Say Yes to Religious Freedom

On the 20-year anniversary of the Dorje Shugden ban, we at DorjeShugden.com wish to bring to light once again the history of this unethical ban, the sufferings it has caused and what all Shugden Buddhists around the world are tirelessly petitioning for. This is also a reminder that the fight to lift the Shugden ban is far from over, and that we should once again rekindle our resolve to see the end of such faith-based discrimination that has no place in the 21st Century.

Contemplate This

.…Instead of turning away people who practise Dorje Shugden, we should be kind to them. Give them logic and wisdom without fear, then in time they give up the ‘wrong’ practice. Actually Shugden practitioners are not doing anything wrong. But hypothetically, if they are, wouldn’t it be more Buddhistic to be accepting? So those who have views against Dorje Shugden should contemplate this. Those practicing Dorje Shugden should forbear with extreme patience, fortitude and keep your commitments. The time will come as predicted that Dorje Shugden’s practice and it’s terrific quick benefits will be embraced by the world and it will be a practice of many beings.
