Dorje Shugden assists the Great 13th Dalai Lama

The Great Sovereign 13th Dalai Lama

The Tibetan Government being held by mostly uneducated and unexposed group of individuals who did not perform well unfortunately. Even if they had the intent, they cannot perform beyond their lack of exposure to the outside world and more advanced forms of governments. Their corruptions and self-serving attitudes brought down the last ‘Shangri-la’ in the world.

Tibetans have left their homeland in 1959 due to the high corruptions of the aristocrats and until now are unable to return, stranded in India and scattered like ants throughout the planet. They claim China aggressively took over their country, being the case as it is, how is another country able to simply take over a country? Why didn’t other countries come to their aid? How could this happen? Where was the United Nations? Obviously the government of Tibet in the past were inept to claim their place in the modern world as well as hold on to their sovereignty. Today’s Tibetan youths in India and Nepal still verbalize their wish to return to their homeland. What is stopping them? Return as and when you please welcomed the Chinese Government. Why can’t Tibetans obtain their country back? Again obviously the so called Tibetan Government-in-exile are ineffective to ‘reclaim’ their country.

As much as the world and media adore His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama, no one is willing to stick their necks out to back up Tibetan ‘independence’. All G-7 states and majority of countries in the world as well as the United Nations are officially firm in their policies that Tibet is an inalienable part of China. They will not interfere in China’s internal affairs.

Instead of working towards the betterment of their countrymen in forms of education, health, job opportunities and so on, Tibetan Government consistently find scapegoats to place blame on the continued loss of their country and failures. Current reasons cited as to why Tibet is still not independent is because majority of monasteries and people are worshipping the Powerful Protector Dorje Shugden! Dorje Shugden is harmful to Tibet’s independence and H.H. Dalai Lama’s life they vehemently promote in public speeches, on their websites and pamphlets distributed by the tens of thousands. How they came to this illogical conclusion is anyone’s guess.

Dorje Shugden has been worshipped by majority of Gelugpas and the Sakya patriarchs as well as Sakya monasteries for 350 years now. Even the Panchen Lamas propitiate this Deity. Suddenly Dorje Shugden is found out to be harmful! Dorje Shugden seems to have escaped undetected by countless highly realized lamas of both Gelug and Sakya lineages in hundreds of monasteries for 350 years and suddenly he is deemed harmful? How can hundreds of realized Scholars, masters, throne-holders, Geshes, teachers, hermit monks, Abbots for 350 years not realize Dorje Shugden is ‘harmful’? How can no one have the spiritual attainments to detect this? And if detected why was Dorje Shugden’s worship so prevalent and widespread? It is unbelievably ridiculous to assume only the Dalai Lama has the spiritual powers to detect which being is positive or negative. Even assuming the Dalai Lamas are the highest spiritual authority, we can see clearly the Great 13th Dalai Lama trusted, heeded and carried out the advice of the great Dharma King Dorje Shugden in 1932.

We were presented with a piece of information that clearly reveal the inconsistencies of the Tibetan Government now known as CTA now. CTA is short for Central Tibetan Administration still located in the hill town of Dharamsala in Northern India. Since 1959 the Tibetan government has been called the Exiled Tibetan Government. A further blow to the dignity of the Tibetans and the ego of the Tibetan ministers, the Indian Government due to pressure from China insisted a further downgrade to CTA. Tibetans are unable to call their ‘rulers’ in Dharamsala an exiled Government but simply CTA. The newly ‘elected’ Prime Minister in-exile has been downgraded to Head Administrator of the CTA.

This piece of writing is extracted from “THE GARLAND OF JEWELS: Chronicles of the Successive Emanations of Lord Lokeshvara”. In this it is explained clearly how His Holiness the 13th Dalai Lama trusted and respected the advice of Dorje Shugden via the medium (oracle). The advice given to 13th Dalai Lama was carried out extensively and thoroughly with great urgency from Dalai Lama himself.

If you read the texts clearly, you will notice clearly the following inconsistencies:

1. The first print was in Varanasi and distributed among the Tibetans in March 17, 1978. Obviously the first print was not enough and a second print had to be undertaken and with the approval of the Private Office of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama of all people.

2. This writing was re-printed in 1984 by the official printing press of the CTA in Dharamsala (Tibetan Cultural Printing Press). The printing was approved by the Private Office of His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama and 500 copies distributed.

Why would the then Exiled Tibetan Government print information regarding the 13th Dalai Lama heeding the advice of Dorje Shugden? Doesn’t this contradict their policy now against Dorje Shugden? Isn’t the 13th Dalai Lama and the 14th Dalai Lama of one mindstream? If they are, how can the 13th Dalai Lama trust and obey Dorje Shugden and the 14th Dalai Lama find fault and ban Dorje Shugden? Surely the Great 13th Dalai Lama was a powerful and wise sovereign who safeguarded Tibet and its unique culture wouldn’t be mistaken in trusting Dorje Shugden’s advice. It is contradictory on many levels.

Domo Geshe Rinpoche

3. There was threat in 1932 from China planning to overtake Tibet. Dorje Shugden entered his Oracle medium in the presence of a highly respected and influential Lama named Domo Geshe Rinpoche of Domo district. He gave clear advice on what to enact in order to gain merit for the country to stave off the Chinese invasion. Domo Geshe Rinpoche conveyed this message to H.H. the 13th Dalai Lama via the district commissioner. Upon hearing the advice, the 13th Dalai Lama immediately took action to repair the ‘two stupas’ and in order to do so levied taxes from both citizens and livestock. The purpose being for the country to gather the merits as a unified whole to ward off the loss of their country. Losing one’s country is a sign of demerit in the Tibetan belief system. By repairing and making offerings to holy objects, great merit is obtained. When all Tibetans gave towards the repairs in form of taxes, the merit will be accumulated as a whole for the nation and hence safeguarded.

The 13-storey Potala Palace containing hundreds of relics and chapels was the ‘Western stupa’. The sacred mausoleum of Lord Tsongkapa was identified as the Eastern and second of the two ‘stupas’ to be repaired. These two sacred edifices are the holiest of holies in Tibet and by repairing them, making offerings or spiritual worship would collect great merits for the nation as a whole according the powerful Dorje Shugden. Out of great concern for the Buddha Dharma and Tibetan nation, Dorje Shugden took trance of his medium monk to speak clearly methods to stave off the imminent danger from Lower Hor (China). The Great Sovereign 13th Dalai Lama took full heed and acted accordingly to the advice of this great Protector Dorje Shugden.

In fact, direction from the Great 13th Dalai Lama expedited the completion of these two merit-making acts of stupa repairs. Upon completion, there were grand consecration ceremonies, prayer rites, celebrations and long life rituals offered to the Great 13th Dalai Lama. China experienced internal problems and Tibet was left in peace.

4. This amazing piece of information clearly shows the ban against Dorje Shugden is completely a poltical move with hidden agendas. It has nothing to do with Dorje Shugden being harmful. The demonization of this powerful Protector Deity by the CTA in Dharamsala has not brought them any closer to their goals. In fact it has tarnished their image further. What government in a democratic free country in the 21st century would penalize any religious worship or ban religions, sects, Gods and various forms of worship. It is bad politics to touch upon religion. Religious freedom is the way to go. CTA blows two horns. On the one hand they say they give freedom of religious worship. But if you choose Dorje Shugden you may not enter their schools, hospitals, monasteries, jobs, or be associated with those who have renounced the worship of Dorje Shugden. On the other hand if CTA truly gives freedom of worship, why would you mention one single word pro or against Dorje Shugden? If you did mention for the ‘safety’ of your people, you wouldn’t ostracize them from the mainstream. The official CTA website has a section specifically dedicated to the ‘non-virtues’ of worshipping Dorje Shugden as well the lamas that continue to practise. If you continue to practise, they deem this defiance and you are anti-Tibet and what it stands for. You may not participate in any public events nor join in the teachings of the Dalai Lama! What sort of freedom of worship is this? As with many of the policies of the CTA, it does not make sense. Anyone with common sense investigate further into the ban of Dorje Shugden, they can see it makes no sense.

The current Dalai Lama mentioned in his public teachings in Drepung back in 2012, if you wish to take refuge in Dorje Shugden you do not have to look for Dalai Lama in this life or the next! You choose. Is this compassion to segregate those who wish to follow Dorje Shugden? Any requests for dialogue regarding Dorje Shugden to the Private Office of His Holiness the Dalai Lama or Dalai Lama himself is ignored. No democratic dialogue is allowed. Dalai Lama may have a greater purpose in all of this and we choose to believe so, but in the meanwhile many are suffering in silence. For their sake may the unethical ban against Dorje Shugden and his followers be annulled.

The Central Tibetan Administration or CTA (previously known as Exiled Tibetan Govt) should make a formal apology to the Tibetan people, heads of the four sects of Tibetan Buddhism, to the Gelug/Sakya practitioners in particular for their abuse of power in creating such confusion and damage with their illogical ban on Dorje Shugden. They have divided the Tibetans and created deep divisions within the great monasteries of learning. The CTA should invite the official oracle of Dorje Shugden to Dharamsala, invoke this powerful protector and apologize with offerings. They should immediately do this and rectify the situation before they lose what little left there is to lose in their power base.

If they should refuse to apologize and admit their illegal and unlawful religious persecution of Dorje Shugden practitioners, then there will come a time in the very near future where all the pain, confusion and damages they have inflicted will return to them by manifold due to the universal law of karma. As Lord Buddha states, we have nowhere to hide from the effects of our own actions. The laws of cause and effect follow us like a shadow to the body.

We at www.dorjeshugden.com have no ill-will towards His Holiness the Dalai Lama nor the CTA. We simply request them to remove the illegal and unfair ban on Dorje Shugden’s practice to create unity, harmony and growth among the Tibetans and those who have chosen to follow their religion. Millions in Tibet have successfully followed and practised Dorje Shugden for centuries and will continue to do so. With CTA’s removal of the ban and apology, much negative karmic backlash can be avoided and the healing process can begin.

No government can or should determine what deity, god, religion or no religion its citizens wish to follow. By giving full and pure religious freedom to its citizens will only strengthen the public’s respect of their government.

We appeal to all who enjoy freedom of religious worship to read the enclosed pamphlets published by the then Exiled Tibetan Government thoroughly and realize the wrongs perpetrated against the Pure Buddhist World Peace Protector Dorje Shugden and His practitioners whose time has come.

In the year wood dog (1932), in front of Dromo Geshe Rinpoche Ngawang Kalsang -who was a spiritual master in his own right; acknowledged as spiritual mentor by all inhabitants of outer Tibet; whose fame spreads from one direction to the other- Gyalchen Shugden, who is strictly committed to preserve Manjunath’s (Je Tsongkhapa, AD 1357-1419, founder of the Gelug tradition of Tibetan Buddhism) legacy, entered his medium (oracle of Gyalchen Dorje Shugden).  He pronounced:

“This is the time when Lower Hor (possible reference to China) rises.

As remedial measure, it is vital to renovate the two stupas in the east

and west of central Tibet immediately”.

The fact of this clear and immutable pronouncement was conveyed to the Great Sovereign (Great 13th Dalai Lama) through the District Commissioner of Dromo by Dromo Geshe Rinpoche. At that time, there was also talk that Rippon (Japan) was waging war on another outside country.  Therefore, with wide concern over temporary and long-term welfare and the otherwise, a token tax on every head of man and animal was levied upon all included within Tibetan subjects. From the first portion of this, and identifying the Potala Palace as being the “stupa in the west”, (the Great 13th Dalai Lama) decided to promptly renovate what in common perception appeared as dilapidated portions.  Stone, timber and many renowned painters were gathered. Workforce was immediately formed….The plastering and all decayed wood were replaced afresh. The murals… were repainted anew, their quality even better than before.

The eastern side of the white segment of the Palace was dismantled from top to bottom.

The chambers and ante-chambers complete with kitchen and verandas were re-constructed firm, solid, high and beautiful. The great printery behind (the palace) was enlarged.

Direction from the Sovereign (Great 13th Dalai Lama) led the project to swift completion. Consecration, and celebration at the completion of the project and prayer-rites for (the Sovereign’s) long life from both the Government and private individuals, were performed at magnificent scale.

As for “the stupa in the east”, as will be given below, it is said to be the great renovation work commissioned upon the Great Golden Mausoleum (Tsongkapa’s stupa) at Gaden.

Contd. (Page 648, lines 4-11)

In particular, just as advised by Gyalchen Dorje Shugden to Dromo Geshe as mentioned earlier, (the Sovereign) became convinced that “the stupa in the east” was Great Golden Mausoleum (Tsongkapa’s Stupa) of Gaden. The court visited the Drog Rivoché amphitheater (on which the monastery with the golden mausoleum of Je Tsongkhapa is located).  Without disturbing the preserved body of Je Rinpoche (Tsongkapa) in any way…new external embalming sheath, of equal worth, was beaten. A rich variety of adornments in the form of precious and semi-precious stones, whose value cannot be estimated, were set as aesthetically as possible: It was as if the whole mausoleum was re-cast anew; an endeavor in renovation so superb that it became a feast to the eyes of all fortunate beholders.

  1. This article showed how inconsistent is the way the current Tibetan government is practicing in terms of religious freedom.

It is very unfair to the Tibetan who have lost their country and were forced to leave their homeland and yet they are not allowed to worship the Powerful Protector Dorje Shugden which they have been practicing for the past 350 years. The Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) is just taking an excuse for their inefficiency in granting the Tibetan independence as well as reclaiming to their homeland.

Since it has been published that the H H 13th Dalai Lama has heeded the advice of Dorje Shudgen. He and the previous Dalai Lamas have trusted and obeyed Dorje Shudgen whom they know would safeguard Tibet and bring benefits to the Tibetan. All these High Lamas could not be wrong to endorse Dorje Shudgen as their protector. But yet now the H H 14th Dalai Lama announced that by worshiping Dorje Shudgen will be harmful to Tibet’s independence and will also shorten his life.

Citing this reason the 14th Dalai Lama has imposed a ban on the worshiping of Dorje Shudgen. This has contradicted to the policy set by his predecessors. Isn’t it ridiculous?

  2. Dorje Shugden is a demon who will do no good to the Tibetan people and the government. Dorje Shugden also will effect the life of the emanation of Boddhisatva Avalokiteshvara who is the student of Buddha Amitabha and has such compassion not to be a Buddha just yet until all the sentient beings have achieved emptiness, in another words; Enlightenment. How many more years do you think it requires? Such a sacrifice which no words will be able to describe this kind of compassionate mind and action.

Do you think a demon will be able to harm or shorten such a highly attained Boddhisatva? Is just didn’t making any sense at all, and if Dorje Shugden is really a demon why only until the 14th reincarnation of Dalai Lama be able to see this? How about from 5th till the 13th? Are there not from the same mind stream? Besides that, how about those supposedly highly attained masters, do there not see it? So, does it mean what we have learned and believed all this while is a mistake? This is what the 14th Dalai Lama said, his Guru make a mistake? If so, what if the 14th Dalai Lama is making a mistake? It can happen since the 14th Dalai Lama said His Guru the Highly Attained masters make a mistake and why can’t himself is wrong? So is He saying that since 350 years ago all the Highly masters supposedly have achieved attainments is wrong and was manipulated by a demon? Buddhas was manipulated by a demon. Does it making any sense to you?

  3. Buddha Dorje Shugden protected the sovereignty of Tibet during the 13th Dalai Lama’s reign and helped the 14th Dalai Lama to escape to safety to India during the Chinese occupation. On both occasions Dorje Shugden had protected and saved the culture, heritage, literature and most importantly the Tibetan leaderships from disaster. Despite the credibility and importance of Dorje Shugden, the 14th Dalai Lama has reduced him to an ‘evil spirit’ for political propaganda.

This is one of the worst karma you can imagine calling a Buddha ‘evil spirit’ and trampling it down. Schism, violence, disharmony, disunity and apartheid are the result of this propaganda creating immense negativities beyond imagination. Best the ban can be stopped immediately and sincere apologies extended to Buddha Dorje Shugden before these negativities escalated beyond repair.

Contemplate This

.…Instead of turning away people who practise Dorje Shugden, we should be kind to them. Give them logic and wisdom without fear, then in time they give up the ‘wrong’ practice. Actually Shugden practitioners are not doing anything wrong. But hypothetically, if they are, wouldn’t it be more Buddhistic to be accepting? So those who have views against Dorje Shugden should contemplate this. Those practicing Dorje Shugden should forbear with extreme patience, fortitude and keep your commitments. The time will come as predicted that Dorje Shugden’s practice and it’s terrific quick benefits will be embraced by the world and it will be a practice of many beings.
