With just 2 simple and not-so convincing reasons then banning the Shugden Worship?? Here are my question and opinion:
1. Since HH Dalai Lama is the emanation of Avalokiteshvara -an enlightened being, he has the full power to control his lifespan and how can a Dharma Protector that being labelled as spirit can affect his health and life?
2. From a positive point of view because of the unstable condition in Tibet, a lot of Tibetan monks were running away from Tibet and moved to many different parts of the world which effectively brought Buddhism to their “new” residential areas as well. Perhaps this was the skillful way to spread Tibetan Buddhism to benefit more peoples that born outside the Tibet.
However I fully understand the pain that the Tibetan is suffering now due to political instability, I pray to the Buddha to protect and relief them from any harm and pain.

1. A lama’s life is not controlled by a spirit, but a lamas presence in this contaminated realm is sustained by the merits of the students of the lama. If the students of a lama , in this case, HHDL decide to follow the practice of Shugden, this may affect the karma of the students to have HHDL with them in this life since he doesn’t want person who considers him (HHDL) as a teacher, to practice Shugden.
2. Pain may be seen as harmful, but in different situations it can lead to a beneficial situation.
