Tsem Rinpoche the Brave

When in April 2015 Tsem Tulku Rinpoche announced to the world that Kechara Forest Retreat houses the largest Dorje Shugden statue in the world, it goes without saying that it created ripples across the Tibetan Buddhist communities the world over. Many messages of congratulations poured in, and unfortunately, those of abuse and insults, too, especially on his Facebook Page. It’s not hard to guess that those responsible for the derogatory comments claimed they were defending His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama who discourages the worship of Dorje Shugden.

The sorry episode, however, only revealed that Tsem Rinpoche is nothing short of courageous and determined in his defense of dharma. Not only did he remain calm following the online slurs, he went on to make a brilliant series of video clips in which he discussed his experience and history with Gyalchen Dorje Shugden. The lecture is delivered in the light-hearted and sometimes humorous way that seems to be characteristic of this charismatic teacher.

In perfect solidarity with their guru, the Kecharians, the name of Tsem Rinpoche’s students and followers, started making their own Shugden video testimonies. Such a class-act of “coming-out” is a new phenomenon for Dorje Shugden practitioners who have had to hide their identities, especially in countries where open identification with the deity may entail trouble and discrimination.

It is also refreshingly different in the sense that the Shugden testimonies we often witness on news reports are tales of prejudice and suffering. By contrast, the Kecharian testimonies are positive empowering narratives of how Dorje Shugden practice has benefited them.

The success and strength of Kechara can’t be separated from its founder and spiritual guru Tsem Rinpoche who was born October 24, 1965 in Taipei of a Mongolian princess by the name of Dewa Nimbo, a daughter of Prince Palta of Xinjiang. His father was Lobsang Gyatso, a Tibetan official with the Tibetan government-in-exile.

Because Lobsang Gyatso was already married to another woman, both Tsem Rinpoche’s parents were unable to legally get married. In keeping with the conservative environment of the period, his mother didn’t bring him up herself. At seven, he was given up for adoption to a Mongolian couple living in New Jersey, USA.

From an early age, he showed a great interest in Tibetan Buddhist imagery, particularly that of Vajrayogini whom he described as a “red lady.” Although his adoptive parents didn’t approve of his religious leanings, preferring that he study at normative schools, earn a degree and get a “decent” job, the young Rinpoche continued his venture into religion by visiting the local Mongolian temple, Rashi Gempil Ling, where the Abbot Emeritus of Sera Mey Monastery and an accomplished practitioner of the Vajrayogini Tantra, Kensur Lobsang Tharchin Rinpoche, taught. Kensur Rinpoche was a direct disciple of Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche. It was here, too, that he received teachings from the Dalai Lama in 1979.

Two years later, the 16-year-old ran away from home after an argument with his adoptive father and landed himself in Los Angeles, California. He was fortunate enough to be allowed to live at the Thubten Dhargye Ling dharma center, exchanging board for services within the temple. Here, the young Tsem Rinpoche became a student of Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen. In a moving story, he had called his old teacher Sermey Kensur Lobsang Tharchin in New Jersey to ask permission to become a student of Geshe Tsultim Gyeltsen, which was graciously granted by his first guru. So he happily spent the next eight years at Thubten Dhargye Ling.

Notable during his stay there was his meeting with the guru of his guru, H.H. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche. When young Tsem Rinpoche heard about Zong Rinpoche’s impending visit to the center, he was very happy. Moreover, he was thrilled to find out he had been assigned to serve the venerable teacher for the next six months.

Tsem Rinpoche recalled in a lecture that he would deliberately put extra food on Zong Rinpoche’s plate in the hope of eating the guru’s leftovers, which he considered blessed food. It was during his six-month service that he received a Yamantaka initiation from his root guru H.H. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche who encouraged him to become a monk. After his root guru returned to India, Tsem Rinpoche met H.H. the Dalai Lama and asked His Holiness to ordain him as a monk. The Dalai Lama, like his root guru, told him to go to India.

In 1987, three years after the passing of H.H. Kyabje Zong Rinpoche, Tsem Rinpoche finally made it to India where he visited Zong Ladrang in Ganden Monastery. Having been ordained by the Dalai Lama, he continued to study at Ganden Shartse, Mundgod, Karnataka, for the next nine years.

H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche was recognized as the 72nd Abbot of Ganden Shartse by H.H. the 14th Dalai Lama

During this time, one of his gurus Kensur Jampa Yeshe Rinpoche introduced Tsem Rinpoche as the reincarnation of the 72nd Abbot of Ganden Shartse to H.H. the Dalai Lama, who confirmed his status as a tulku. Another famous teacher who became Tsem Rinpoche’s guru was H.E. Kyabje Lati Rinpoche.

At the suggestion of H.E. Kyabje Lati Rinpoche, Tsem Rinpoche went on a fundraising tour in Malaysia where he impressed many Buddhists. Subsequently, he was requested by his students in Malaysia to return and teach there, where he founded Kechara, a Buddhist organization dedicated to the teachings and practices of Dharma, in 2000. Four years later, he also established Kechara House Buddhist Center.

Among Tsem Rinpoche’s passions are nature, the environment and animal welfare. It was in this spirit that he conceived the idea for a rural retreat dedicated to contemplation and union with nature. In 2012, work began on a project that would eventually become the 35-acre Kechara Forest Retreat, where the Wisdom Hall dedicated to Dorje Shugden is located.

The largest Dorje Shugden statue in the world is located in Kechara Forest Retreat, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche’s Buddhist Organization in Malaysia

Tsem Rinpoche’s unique personal history has in many ways prepared him well for his encounters with the modern world. As a tulku, he represents hundreds of years of Tibetan Buddhist history of continuation. On the other hand, Tsem Rinpoche is a 21st-century lama conversant with technology and the everyday challenges faced by the modern day Buddhist. Both his lineage and his progressive thinking are currently the anchors around which his Kecharians build their lives in dharma. May his auspicious work continue for a long time to come!

Until today, H.E. Tsem Tulku Rinpoche continues the practices that were given to him by his teacher, H.H. Kyabje Zong Dorje Chang

  1. I am an ardent follower of Tsem Rinpoche’s blog http://www.tsemrinpoche.com/
It is an extremely interesting blog, very informative and very active too . There are subjects relating to animals, vegetarianism, Buddha’s teachings, horoscopes and many others; and lots of wonderful images and prayers which can be lownloaded . I love this blog ! It’s a real Dharma treasure !!
I admire this Lama for his courage and determination to end many Dorje Shugden practitioner’s sufferings. Tsem Rinpoche’s videos on “My side of the story” is very logically put forth, very informative and a very fair account of his own personal experience. Many of my doubts and uncertainties were cleared up after watching the videos. I am sure many others have the same experience. I personally have many friends who are Dorje Shugden practitioners and they are some of the best friends anyone could ever ask for.
I am really glad there are still courageous and sincere Lamas like Tsem Rinpoche who ignores all the bashing and holds steadfast to the practice which his Guru gave him, which have helped him become one of the best Lamas in this century ! May Tsem Rinpoche live long to continue to turn the wheel of Dharma in order to benefit all sentient beings !!

  2. Totally agree!

Tsem Rinpoche is a brave and wise lama. It takes lot of courage and pain as well to hold on to his Dorje Shugden practice, not only that, he spreads the teachings of Dorje Shugden through social media and videos as well.

I have learn quite a lot from his Youtube videos, whether on Shugden issue or general Buddhism topics.

By using social media and other tools, he ensures that not only the teachings of Dorje Shugden but teachings of Je Tsongkhapa and Lord Buddha spread to every corners of the world…despite so much pains he endures and experiences as a Shugden practitioner.

Before he announces to the world he practices Shugden and after, make no difference for many including myself, because what he spreads are the teachings of compassion, wisdom, love and kindness.

Thank you for all the video teachings of Buddhism and statement/history/stand on Shugden issue on Youtube. It make the issue so much clearer, simple and let many have hope getting the conflict solved in the near future.

I wish all the pains for more than 15 years can be ended peacefully and bring benefits to all parties.

Thanks again Tsem Rinpoche for the teachings on Dorje Shugden issue. May you always in good health and lives a very very long life and turns the wheel of dharma.

  3. I have completely agree with what u guys have said Tsem Rinpoche blog is really very interesting and beneficial to us as a very busy practitioner because we can asses to Rinpoche blog as and when we like it make it so convenient for us to learn the holy teaching may Rinpoche teaching continue to spread to ten direction and benefits more and more living being, and may the DS ban be lifted as soon as possible.

  4. When things are dark, difficult, depressing and all hope is lost and when truth is like a tiny fly trying to defend itself against a fire breathing dragon, when we even begin to doubt ourselves.. sometimes help does come…and it has come from this extremely courageous, logical, eloquent, fair but effective, highly attained being! Brave Heart Kyabje Tsem Rinpoche I bow at your feet! I know our lineage Gurus are showering a thousand blessings on you; you have done your Gurus mighty proud specially Kyabche Zong Dorjechang!

  5. It has been for years that I followed His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche until lately that he finally publicly revealed his Shugden background, only I realized how skilful my Guru was in his practice of Guru Devotion to both side of the opposite camp . In one hand someone online have pressed him to choose side by leaving questions and comments on his blog and on another is for his love he had for his fellow monks in Gaden Monastery and he has chosen to be on the good book of HHDL . It have never been easy for him to stay alone outside of Gaden Monastery which he called home and somewhere he yearned to turn to. Above all that , it is time ripe for him to reveal genuine Guru Devotion in following his instructions to the end of one’s live and also not offending those who oppose your choice. The article “My side of the story” was for the very courageous one only as it will drawn in negative comments and at the same time one must be courageous enough to educate and lead those again and again to what real Guru Devotion means in Vajrayana Buddhism.

  6. What utter BS this whole article is!… and what has happened to dorjeshugden(dot)com in general, you used to be a real firebrand in the protests against the False Dalai Lama, now you just produce PR for Tsem.
Tsem’s Facebook page even is just “I love Dalai Lama” nonsense, and now you do not agree with the protests???
What is happening Tsem? For years you hid behind dorjeshugden(dot)com financing their campaign with your $s. Then you spat out your dummy, threatened to close it down, Shugden Lamas sent their encouragement for you to keep going, then you came out as a Shugden practitioner, and now you are back kissing the Dalai Lama’s ass? Pathetic.
It’s just about politics and $s I fear! Do you actually care about Shugden Buddhists?

  7. From what I know, Tsem Tulku Rinpoche has never spoken against HH Dalai Lama, because HH Dalai Lama is one of His many teachers. Personally, I don’t quite like certain groups calling HH Dalai Lama all the insulting names. I felt this Dorje Shugden ban issue must be resolved in a way which will bring as much as win-win as possible. If many of the HH Dalai Lama followers lost faith in HH Dalai Lama because of this issue, then it is not serving Buddhism well in any way.

I wish Tsem Tulku Rinpoche, as well as other Dorje Shugden lamas can be strong and continue to spread the teaching of Dorje Shugden.

  8. @Lhamo – the website can write whatever they want and upload articles from whoever they want. Try Googling the author’s name before running your mouth? The author isn’t connected with Tsem Lama.

If you claim to care about Shugden Buddhists (since you’re so happy to accuse others of not caring enough), SET UP YOUR OWN WEBSITE. Put your own money towards it. Gather your own people. Collect your own news. Otherwise just shut up and learn to say thanks for all of the other information this website gives you. They produce nearly 2k articles and all you can do or contribute is complain? Yeah I’m sure you’re playing such a fundamental and crucial part in the Dorje Shugden movement.

And by the way, Tsem Lama has never spoken against the Dalai Lama so it’s not as though he spoke badly about the Dalai Lama then went back to kissing his ass, as you so put it.

  9. Tsem Rinpoche coming out is truly inspirational for all Dorje Shugden practitioners especially those in India and Tibet under the watchful eyes of the CTA. I hope many will take the cue from His actions and come out, including Lamas and leaders of monasteries aligned to the Dalail Lama. For me this may me one way to force the hands of the Dalai Lama to finally lift the ban on the practice.

I congratulate HE Tsem Rinpoche for showing the way and He is no doubt a pure practitioner of the Dharma by what can be seen from His practices of teaching and spreading the Dharma.

  10. Many Tibetans who dare not speak out against Shugden ban for many years are very encouraged and gain great inspiration by the work, bravery, courage and honesty of Kyabje Tsem Rinpoche. The high lamas of Tibet and many around the world have encouraged their students watch Kyabje Tsem Rinpoche’s videos. Many of the Tulkus, Geshes, Kenpos, Kensurs and monks around the world very much pray for Kyabje Tsem Rinpoche and admire him we have seen on weechat and various monasteries. He is doing a good job to bring dharma to many. He is doing good job to make more understanding about Gyelchen Dorje Shugden Chenpo. We pray for Kyabje Tsem Rinpoche’s long life and we thank him for not fearing and talking about the truth for Gyelchen Dorje Shugden practice. Lama Kyeno!

  11. We hope you have more pictures and information of Tsem Tulku Rinpoche. We very happy and want more on Rinpoche things. He is greatlama and make us Shugdenpa proud.

  12. @Lhamo – Come on! Dorjeshugden frequently features other lamas flatteringly. A sincere Shugden practitioner should rejoice that a great Shugden lama is out inspiring so many. As a fellow Shugden practitioner, I am surprise at your words that does not sound like you mean well. That is disheatening and you become the reason why Shugden practitioners get a bad name. Perhaps, you do not really care that the ban comes down. If you do, you would not say words that will divide Shugden people.

  13. I agreed with Losang Tsering Lama. H.E. Tsem Rinpoche is a pure Lama who speak from His heart. He is a pure monk who practices what the Buddha taught. He does whatever He can to hold His samaya with all his Gurus. His love is vast, equal and pure to all sentient beings. In such, how can He go against HHDL? Someone with such compassion like H.E. Tsem Rinpoche will have no anger and hatred towards anyone. We talk about we want world peace and no war among all rases and religions. Don’t you think we should solve the disharmony among Dorje Shugden practice issues immediately before we talk about world peace? We Buddhist suppose to practice compassion and to lesser the suffering for others. Can we start from accepting each other without looking at what Dharma Protector we wished to practice? Nevermind something so simple we cannot accomplish but please do not bad mouth further and create more suffering and harm for others.

Non in the Dorje Shugden practice mentioned that we should hate each other nor put down others. In Dorje Shugden practice we are only asked to look into our own enemy which are the 3 poisons. We do Dorje Shigden practice to collect merits and purify our negative karma so that we can have a better condition and less obstacles along our spiritual path. I believe this is the reason we do Dharma protector practice.

May H.E Tsem Rinpoche live long and bring pure Dharma to the world.

  14. If all the Shugden practitioners are unanimous on the objective of bringing down the BAN then we should work harminiously towards this goal. We can use different methods skillfully, but always keeping in mind all the teachings of the great sage, Buddha Shakyamuni. We are here to do good and do no harm. We want to learn and transform to be of benefit to all sentient beings. We all want to achieve Enlightment !
Hence work together in harmony for the sake of the Buddha Dharma and all sentient beings towards our goal of bringing down the Ban and ending the sufferings of many.
May all the great Lamas live long to continue to turn the dharma wheel !

  15. @Lhamo: What is wrong with Tsem Rinpoche loving Dalai Lama? H.H Dalai Lama is one of Tsem Rinpoche’s guru. From his website, He clearly shows his stance in dorje shugden movement which is peace, harmony and equality, which is what we all want. What’s wrong about it? U spoke as if you know so much about Tsem Rinpoche, politics and money? Hahaha…nonsense. If you truly care about shugden buddhist, you wouldn’t be polluting other Lama’s name by writing ugly things on the internet to create confusion, where’s ur care?

As far as I know, Tsem has done so much to the people. From his website, he feed not only the poor but he takes care of animals, he promotes vegetarianism & greens. Tsem is a living example of a kind-heart.

    Answer:
Doesn’t look like it. There is no win-win here. One side wins, and the other loses.

    http://buddhism-controversy-blog.com/2015/06/24/tibets-top-religious-leaders-condemn-shugden-worshippers-anti-dalai-lama-tirade/

More than 66 representatives from 58 monasteries and Buddhist institutes, including the Gaden Tripa Rizong Rinpoche, the Sakya Trizin, the Karmapa Rinpoche, the Menri Trizin, the Shabdrung Rinpoche, the Drukchen Rinpoche’s Representative Khenpo Tenzin and the Taklung Tsetrul Rinpoche’s representative Kathok Gezey Rinpoche attended the conference, as did representatives from the Jonang tradition of Tibetan Buddhism, said the exile Tibetan administration at Dharamshala on its Tibet.net website Jun 20.

  17. The degree of hostility and attacks on Dorje Shugden practitioners is almost at its peak. And yet Kyabjye Tsem Rinpoche is willing to come out for the benefit of all sentient beings. I wish them all the success.

  18. First of all, I would like to know how it is for certain that an enlightened spirit indeed possessed the human form? I hope someone can tell me. All I have seen is a monkey dancing around and shaking hands….everyone can do this. If there is proof that an enlightened being did possess the monkey then I will believe it. I did a lot of research on this topic…but i can’t find the answer to the solid proof of a trance did happen.

  19. SORRY for misspelling. I mean …an enlightened spirit did possess the monk body.

  20. His Eminence is indeed very brave, I’ve been following his blog for a time being now, not consistently but on and off, he teaches nothing but compassion, indeed a great example of student, teacher and sangha. Tsem Rinpoche is not wrong for speaking up against the ban, no one should be as we all deserve religious freedom. I admire and adore his bravery and compassion to benefit sentient beings, may he live long and continue to benefit beings.

  21. His Eminence Tsem Rinpoche is a brave and compassion monk. By following his blog I learn a lot and thank you for the 24/7 dharma teaching. There is no wrong for him to stand up for his practice as everyone is free to choose their religion. Tsem Rinpoche’s guru devotion inspires me a lot and his blog conveys a lot of information and dharma knowledge for the benefit of everyone. May Rinpoche stay healthy, live long to continue turn the dharma wheel.

  22. My goodness, that is a magnificent statue of enlightened Dorje Shugden. Tsem Rinpoche is courageous to “come out of the closet” so to speak on his practise of Dorje Shugden. The thing is why would he have to when religious freedom is supposedly the right of every person on earth? I certainly had never seen any proof of his disrespecting the Dalai Lama in his appeals for lifting of the ban on Dorje Shugden. I would say his Guru devotion is absolutely impeccable and a fine example for all of us to follow.

Its funny how with his declaration, the abuse immediately starts. I sometimes wonder at the “stupidity” of the people who one moment speak so highly of him and the moment he declared his practise of Shugden, the same people turned nasty and attacked. All this whole while, Tsem Rinpoche is still the same, other than having the compassion to step forward so that those suffering the ban will have a voice on their behalf. I love visiting his blog as it contains so much information on Dorje Shugden and Tsem Rinpoche is always follow dharma logic in his sharing. And other than Dharma, Buddhas and prayers, it contains many other topics that I love too, the paranormal, healthy living, self help, etc.

May Tsem Rinpoche live long and healthy life to continue blessing us by turning the Wheel of Dharma.

  23. When every practitioner are reluctant to even mentioned the name of Dorje Shugden, H.E Tsem Rinpoche have bravely stood out and gave information about Dorje Shugden. HE do that not for any agenda, but, to clear the doubt on Dharma.

I do watched the You tube link on H.E spoke about His relation with Dorje Shugden, which to me it show the deep knowledge HE have on Dharma. HE patiently handle the criticize people have to him, and, he gave knowledge to the person who insulted them, he gave them Dharma and not insulted them.

For this action, I salute Him for his compassion and wisdom which determined to bring dharma to sentient being. And this truly show how He handle Dorje Shugden’s issues.

I prayed May H.E Tsem Rinpoche live long and turn the wheel of Dharma.

  24. Here is one of the world’s bravest man, His Eminence the 25th Tsem Rinpoche, who has nothing but a heart of gold. He stood before the world who shun Dorje Shugden practice fearlessly because it is a teaching His Root Guru had passed down to him. The nobility in this act is something we must always remember, contemplate deeply and learn from. To continue Dorje Shugden practice, understand the benefit of the practice and share it with the world is out of pure compassion and selflessness. There is nothing to gain in the worldly sense for His Eminence. In fact, he is threaten, abused and insulted just because he shares a proven Buddhist practice that can help many people. His Eminence bears all the sufferings so that Dorje Shugden can continue to alleviate the pain of people of this time. If this is not the act of a living Buddha, I do not know what is it?

  25. Dear Dalai Lama,

Since you started the cruel ban against the 350 year Dorje Shugden practice, how has it benefit your Tibetan society and Buddhism in the world? Things have become worse and most educated Tibetans can see this. They don’t speak out not because they don’t see your ban as wrong, but you instill fear in them and not respect. It is like fear of a dictator. I am sorry to say so. Everyone is divided. There is no harmony. Before your ban there was more harmony and unity.

By enacting the ban, you split the monasteries, split so many families, split regions in Tibet apart, split your disciples from you, split your own gurus from you, split Tibetan Buddhism apart. You have created so much disharmony.

It is not democratic what you have done to ban a religion within your community. You always talk of tolerance and acceptance and democracy and yet you do not accept and tolerate something different from your beliefs. When people practice Dorje Shugden you ostracize them, ban them from seeing you, ban them from using Tibetan facilities. You know you have done that. There are videos that capture your speech and prove this point. You even had people expelled from monasteries just because they practice Dorje Shugden. Some of the monks you expelled have been in the monastery for over 40 years. Many older monks shed tears because of this.

Many young educated Tibetans lost confidence in you as they saw the damage the Dorje Shugden ban created and they lose hope. Many have become free thinkers. They reject what you have done. So many people in the west left Buddhism because of the confusion you created with this ban against Dorje Shugden which is immoral.

You could of had millions of people who practice Dorje Shugden to support, love and follow you, but you scared them away. They are hurt and very disappointed. They loved you and respected you deeply before the ban. It has been 60 years and you have failed to get Tibet back. Your biggest failure is not getting Tibet back after 57 years in exile. Now you are begging China to allow you to return to Tibet to the disappointment of thousands of people who fought for a free Tibet believing in you. So many self-immolated for a free Tibet and now you want Tibet to be a part of China with no referendum from Tibetans. Just like a dictator, you decide on your own. It was your government and you that lost Tibet in the first place. Your policies and style of doing things do not benefit Tibet and Buddhism. You have been the sole ruler of Tibet your whole life and you still have not gotten our country of Tibet back for us. Our families and us are separated. Yet you create more pain by creating a ban to further divide people. Please have compassion.

No other Buddhist leader has banned or condemned any religion except for you. It looks very bad. You are a Nobel laureate and this is not fitting of a laureate. You should unite people and not separate them by religious differences.

You said Ms. Aung San Suu Kyi did not do right to the Rohingya people in Myanmar due to religious differences, but you are doing the same thing to the Shugden Buddhists within your own society. There is a parallel in this. You separate the Shugden Buddhists from the others in Tibetan society.

You have lost so many people who would have loved and supported you. You have lost so much support around the world. The Shugden Buddhists who love you number in the millions. When you are fast losing support from governments and private people, it will not do you well to lose more.

After you are passed away in the future, the rift you created between the Dorje Shugden and non-Dorje Shugden people will remain for a while and that will be your legacy. Disharmony. You will be remembered for this. Not as a hero but a disharmony creator.

Dorje Shugden will spread and further grow, but you will be no more as you are a human. No one wishes you bad and in fact we hope you have a long and healthy life, but we have lost so much hope and have so much despair because of you. All the hundreds of Dorje Shugden lamas, tulkus and geshes are maturing and there are hundreds of Dorje Shugden monasteries in Tibet who will not give up Dorje Shugden. You have made a mistake. These hundreds of teachers and teachers to be will spread Dorje Shugden further in the future.

The gurus that gave us Dorje Shugden as a spiritual practice and you have called these holy gurus wrong and they are mistaken in giving us Dorje Shugden. How can you insult our gurus whom we respect so much? If they can be wrong, then you can be wrong. Then all gurus can be wrong. So no one needs to listen to any guru? You have created this trend. It is not healthy. Your own gurus practiced Dorje Shugden their whole lives. Your own gurus were exemplary and highly learned.

Dalai Lama you have created so much pain with this ban against so many people due to religion. You are ageing fast. Are you going to do anything about it or stay stubborn, hard and un-moving. You show a smile and preach peace and harmony wherever you go. But will you do the same to your own people? Please rectify the wrong you have done. Please before it is too late. You can create harmony again or you can pass away in the future with this legacy of peace. May you live long and think carefully and admit what was a mistake in having this unethical ban against Dorje Shugden religion.

.…Instead of turning away people who practise Dorje Shugden, we should be kind to them. Give them logic and wisdom without fear, then in time they give up the ‘wrong’ practice. Actually Shugden practitioners are not doing anything wrong. But hypothetically, if they are, wouldn’t it be more Buddhistic to be accepting? So those who have views against Dorje Shugden should contemplate this. Those practicing Dorje Shugden should forbear with extreme patience, fortitude and keep your commitments. The time will come as predicted that Dorje Shugden’s practice and it’s terrific quick benefits will be embraced by the world and it will be a practice of many beings.
