A Tribute to H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche
« on: March 12, 2013, 10:04:34 AM »
Always fantastic to read about the great Lamas of our lineage, particularly one who has received quite so much opposition (he even made it onto a wanted hit list!) from his own government and people and who has, in spite of it all, continued to teach, give initiations, bring people to the dharma and bring Dharma to the world.

It's interesting to note that Gangchen Rinpoche is also one of of the lamas who is at the forefront of trying to create good relationships with China, and making good headway in terms of bringing Dharma back to the people of Tibet. As far as I'm concerned, for all the hatred that has been aimed towards him, he's doing far more for the cause of a free Tibet than any of the 'mainstream' exiled Tibetan community.

It's great to see this also in the light of recent news about Gangchen Rinpoche hosting Trijang Rinpoche in his center in Italy (http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/trijang-rinpoche-confers-initiation-in-europe/) - the center is extraordinarily beautiful, built to resemble a mandala, and extremely rich and holy.

May Gangchen Lama live a thousand years and forever return among us to turn the wheel of Dharma!

Known the world over for his incredible work on peace and healing, H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche is also very famous for his stalwart, unwavering practice and promotion of Dorje Shugden’s precious practice. Unfortunately, he has been on the receiving end of much opposition and animosity in recent decades from people who are against the practice of Dorje Shugden. However, this has not stopped him in the slightest from continuing to make Dharma flourish in the world. In fact, the Lama Gangchen Peace Times organization and his student following only continues to increase globally, while Gangchen Rinpoche himself is strongly recognized by international bodies such as the United Nations and prominent figures around the world.

BIOGRAPHY

H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche comes from a long incarnation lineage of highly accomplished practitioners, originating from the Mahasiddha Darikapa, one of the 84 famous Mahasiddhas. In Gangchen Rinpoche’s previous lives he was also the abbot of Tashi Lhunpo Monastery and for many incarnations, has had a tremendously close, affectionate and deep relationship with the line of Panchen Lamas, which continues to this day. In fact, Gangchen Rinpoche’s personal monastery in Tibet today is in Shigatse, very near the Panchen Lama’s own Tashi Lhunpo Monastery.

When Gangchen Rinpoche visited his personal monastery and Tashi Lhunpo Monastery in Shigatse, Tibet, tens of thousands of people came to receive blessings from him. It took three full days for Gangchen Rinpoche just to place his hands on the heads of every single blessing seeker.

Gangchen Rinpoche is well known for being a master of the Kalachakra tantra and for his closeness to the mystical land of Shambhala. Gangchen Rinpoche has taken rebirth, and resided and presided in Shambhala many times. In this current incarnation too, Gangchen Rinpoche is able to travel to Shambhala with his mind as easily as it is for us to book a ticket to any destination in the world. Gangchen Rinpoche is also famous for being very close to various enlightened female energies called dakinis who often speak to him, sing tantric songs of emptiness to him and also offer certain teachings.

Not only is Gangchen Rinpoche a master of the Yamantaka, Guhyasamaja, Heruka and Vajrayogini tantras, but he has also fully accomplished the Medicine Buddha practice so that he has become one with the Medicine Buddha. Gangchen Rinpoche creates blessing pills and blessed water that are world-famous for healing the most stubborn of problems, afflictions and diseases. Many people who have had cancer have been healed by Gangchen Rinpoche, combining his blessed methods with the use of traditional western medicine. In the Tibetan tradition, it is believed that to see, feel and visualize Gangchen Rinpoche or to be in his presence is equal to being in the presence of Medicine Buddha himself. Gangchen Rinpoche is recognized the world over for his incredible healing abilities and, from time to time, for the show of open, Mahasiddha, miraculous powers.

Gangchen Rinpoche has a huge and lovely residence in Nepal, which was built upon a land that was dry and without any water source. Upon arriving on the site, Gangchen Rinpoche urinated on a spot upon this land and within a few days, from that very source, spring water sprung forth. To this day, many are still enjoying clean, clear, unlimited water from the place that Gangchen Rinpoche had blessed.

Wherever he travels, people often see rainbows or double rainbows appearing over his residence – a very auspicious sign to announce the arrival of a great being and to show that the nature and land gods are very pleased that he is there.

In fact, Gangchen Rinpoche is very much known for his extensive work to heal the environment and bring positivity to the planet, encompassing all beings and nature. He has travelled all over the world crossing Asia, Indonesia, Eastern and Western Europe, South America and North America, planting peaceful naga wealth-increasing vases in the land, in the forests, under the ground and in the oceans. These are to appease a set of beings called nagas who could create potentially catastrophic dangers throughout our planet. On his own volition, Gangchen Rinpoche created these naga vases and planted them all around the world to appease these beings in order to bring about world peace. In one year, on his mission of peace, he travelled to 22 countries to do this.

The warmth, the kindness and the many years that H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche has contributed to the growth of Buddhadharma all over the world is attested by his hundreds of students who have been touched by his compassion and deep sense of responsibility to the environment and its denizens.

Today, Gangchen Rinpoche is the Spiritual Director of the international Lama Gangchen Peace Times organization which does wonderful work to promote peace through diverse means around the world, affecting millions of beings everywhere.

Many stories which bring great awe surrounds this amazing lineage master of our time. Sometimes known as a living Medicine Buddha walking on earth, there are some claims that he is Yamantaka as well.

Walking the earth (literally a globe trotter) HE Gangchen Rinpoche has been one of the eminent masters who tirelessly travel his entire life to spread the message of Buddha's peace, love and wisdom to the entire humankind. His influence in European countries such as Italy is an evident result which Rinpoche's hard work.

Rinpoche's following of students comes in a huge variant, spanning from European countries to those who come from Hong kong and China. Although Rinpoche is listed to be one of the top most wanted people in the CTA, Rinpoche fearlessly goes out to travel in order to set in motion the wheel of the sacred Dharma for all sentient beings.

May Rinpoche continue his great works in order to set beings in happiness and bring down the ban!

Yes, we are indeed very fortunate to have such a great master like Gangchen Rinpoche among us. He is perhaps, one of the last generation of Tibetan masters that were trained and educated in Tibet. I think that is a rare blessing because many of the existing great masters that were from Tibet are not around anymore. Many have entered clear light and have taken rebirth while Gangchen Rinpoche is amongst us and he is actively sharing his lineage and promoting Dorje Shugden along with great lineage Lamas like Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche.

I saw the video of Trijang Rinpoche visiting his center, Albagnano Healing Center in Italy and I must say it is very beautiful and and has a rather special quality about it. I love the murals and Tibetan motives. I must say that the murals are breathtaking. I really love it and I feel proud that a Dorje Shugden organization is spreading the Dharma in Italy in this manner. May more organizations under Gangchen Rinpoche or any authentic lineage Lamas of Dorje Shugden grow this big and huge to benefit the world.

I love this tribute to H.E. Gangchen Rinpoche. Gangchen Rinpoche has such tremendous loving energy and has single-handedly contributed to peace in the world through his dedicated work. How could the CTA have condemned this Lama who is recognized by the United Nations and has harmed nobody? Just because of the Dorje Shugden issue, Gangchen Rinpoche has become a pariah to the majority of the Tibetan community - a perception solely instigated by the CTA.

Unfortunately, most of the Tibetan community do not think more deeply and examine the accusations hurled against this great lama with objectivity. If they did, they would realise that the CTA's condemnation of Gangchen Rinpoche is plain wrong. And you know what, Gangchen Rinpoche has never said anything negative about HH Dalai Lama in retaliation. To me, Gangchen Rinpoche is a true representative of Dorje Shugden practitioner and spiritual master.

This is the kind of blatant persecution and injustice which riles me right up and which makes me even more driven to do what I can to contribute towards the lifting of the ban on Dorje Shugden.

You know what is great about Lama Gangchen is that he is in a place where the CTA and the Tibetans cannot harm him at all or cannot weaken him and has no influence over him and his Dharma work whatsoever at all. He is based in Italy and his works there has grown really huge. And the CTA can only see from afar and there is nothing they can do to stop his Dharma works there. It is totally CTA's loss for not having Lama Gangchen on their side, to lose such a great Mahasiddha and to cut the connections with him. Good riddance for the CTA!

The website is awash with CTA propaganda and lies about Gangchen Rinpoche and yet I have no heard or read any disparaging remarks against the Dalai Lama and the Tibetan government being uttered by this great lama. It is really a shame that the Tibetan government would go to such extreme to discredit one of their own great masters because he practices Dorje Shugden just like Trijang Choktrul Rinpoche did, and his reincarnation still does now.

The CTA dare not criticize Trijang Rinpoche too much for His Holiness is too high a calibre for them to ridicule. Moreover, the Dalai Lama has been heard recently to praise his own teacher which affirms the true quality of Trijang Rinpoche. And Trijang Rinpoche makes no mistake about Gangchen Rinpoche who is one with the Medicine Buddha and has been seen to be very close with Gangchen Rinpoche.

For all his knowledge and attainments, it is very easy to see how much humility Gangchen Rinpoche practices and for sure, this lama is a standard bearer for Dorje Shugden practitioners. It is to the Tibetans' loss that they should allow the CTA to chase Gangchen Rinpoche away but elsewhere, and even in China, Gangchen Rinpoche is treated and recognized as the enlightened master he is.

Thank you for sharing the Tribute of Gangchen Rinpoche. I especially love his smile and always feel happy and peaceful seeing his photos.
He is also well known with his healing work and as a Lama Healer. He is a great high lama that doing Dorje Shugden practices. Like beggar said, he has good relationship with China and thus able to bring Buddhism to the Tibetan. Here is a link on his teaching to the Tibetan during his visit in year 2011 on the subject of the benefits of pilgrimage and getting to know one’s lineage.

Gangchen Rinpoche is not only doing better than the CTA at a spiritual level, he is also doing way better than CTA on a secular level. Lama Gangchen Rinpoche is also an UN ambassador. International recognition is what the CTA has always wanted but it seems that they will never get it and what is funny that Gangchen Rinpoche that they hate so much managed to get international recognition. I feel bad for the sheer stupidity of the people in CTA sometimes because they just throw away capable people that might be able to help them take back Tibet but oh well, perhaps the dont want their independence after all.
