Geshe Lhundub Sopa speaks about Shugden
« on: October 06, 2014, 05:05:21 PM »
This is great autobiography on Geshe Sopa, all the great lamas who were students of Pabongka Rinpoche has only the best things to ever say about Je Pabongka.

And Geshe Sopa was a lama that was trusted by the Dalai Lama and all other lamas of the Gelug tradition who are anti Dorje Shugden have trusted him for many years. Perhaps this biography can be a catalyst to help the anti Dorje Shudgen people to realise that there is a lot of misinformation about the lamas associated with Dorje Shudgen and DS lamas.

Though I may not agree to Geshe Sopa assertion that the ban was to keep peace amongst the Tibetan tradition, that I find it to be totally unnecessary if such is the case. Since Tibetan buddhism has spread all over the world surely there is space for all traditions to co exist and reach out to help sentient beings. If Tibetan buddhism remained in Tibet ok fine, but the world is the oyster for Tibetan buddhism now.

Nice to have insights from a direct student of Je Pabongka who is saying that Je Pabongka was invited to teach in other monasteries, the same was true of Trijang Rinpoche he also received invitation to teach from monasteries of other lineages.
