Kyabje Pabongkha Dorje Chang as Lineage Master
« on: October 05, 2014, 12:43:38 PM »
There is currently a small team of translators working on translating a section of the text by Pabongkha Rinpoche's titled "The Necklace of Wish-Giving Jewels". The portion of the text being translated lists all of the various  empowerments, oral transmissions and oral teachings collected during the course of his life.

This will help illustrate two important facts:
1- The vast scope of lineages and transmissions that Kyabje Pabongkha collected and preserved for the benefit of all.
2-The non-sectarian nature of his efforts, as many of these rare transmissions fall outside of the traditional Gelug framework.

We all realize how important Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche was when it comes to the lineages of Yamantaka, Heruka, Chittamani Tara, Vajrayogini. Rinpoche was the primary lineage holder for these practices during his era, and is still listed in the lineage prayers of these practice texts. Most Gelugpas practice at least one of these practices that passed through Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche.

We think that this translation will also clarify the vital position that Kyabje Pabongkha Rinpoche had in safeguarding other rare practices and passing them on for the benefit of future practitioners, regardless of tradition.
