Dorje Shugden gets onto ABC 7 news! I hope this news coverage will inspire people to investigate and find out more about the Dorje Shugden situation so that the truth will come out about the ban. The Dalai Lama always shirks responsibility for the suffering caused by the ban and denies culpability but just a shallow dig will find that that is not the truth. Hence, Dalai Lama, stop lying and Dalai Lama - religious freedom give (though that last plea does sound very much like Yoda)!

(WJLA) - Wisconsin Avenue in D.C. was lined with hundreds of protestors opposing the Dalai Lama's policy on a small sect of the Buddhist community during his visit to the National Cathedral Friday.

Their signs called out for religious freedom for Shugden Buddhists -- many of whom showed up in full force.
"It's one thing to have an opinion about a topic. It's one thing to teach that topic. But once you forcibly impose a ban, that's really ostracizing and segregating millions of people through the world," said Len Foley, a protestor that said he opposes the Dalai Lama. "We call that religious discrimination."

The Dalai Lama has called Shugden Buddhists "divisive" and "cult-like."

Supporters of the Dalai Lama showed up to defend his stance on the sect.

"The Dalai Lama says anybody is free to worship whatever they want -- the good, bad, ugly, it is your own business. But he says as a leader for the common good of the community, it is not advantageous to worship that deity," said supporter Karma Zurkhang.

Inside the National Cathedral, the 78-year-old Tibetan monk touched on his familiar themes of peace, love and karma.

"If you do good things, good action to others, you get benefits. If you do harm to others, you get negative consequences," the Dalai Lama said Friday.

Kimberly Cooper and her 14-year-old son were among those in the audience.

"I think his big message is connecting with people as humans on a very human and basic level," Cooper said. "I think his words really resonate."

Watch this video of the protest at Washington:

http://uk.reuters.com/video/2014/03/07/buddhist-faction-protests-dalai-lama-as?videoId=289454074&videoChannel=1

Video transcipt:
Dalai Lama protesters along the streets of Washington are saying "Dalai Lama stop lying." They gathered during the spiritual leader's visit to the U.S. capital. Members of the Shugden community, a form of Buddhism that the Dalai Lama himself reportedly calls a "cult," are making their voices heard. They say he has persecuted followers of an ancient deity that the Tibetan spiritual leader denounced decades ago. (SOUNDBITE) REBECCA FOLEY SAYING: "Dorje Shugden is a prayer about wisdom, and it's illogical and obscured to say that this prayer is harmful to him, Tibetans, or the cause in any way." The Shugden community includes around 4 million people around the world. Students of the Dalai Lama also gathered on the opposite side of the street, welcoming the presence of their spiritual leader.

I am very proud of them... they stand in the cold and do this. What great devotion to their Guru, our lineage masters and Dorje Shugden.

More people should know about the ban because HH Dalai Lama has been advocating compassion and peace to everyone. It is time we should compassion by standing up for the Dorje Shugden practitioners who haven't done any harm to others. They are still practicing Dharma like every Buddhist practitioners. Segregating people causes disharmony. Buddha never taught us to create disharmony.

Watch this video where 2 brave protestors had the opportunity to be heard during the assembly.   They managed to questioned the Dalai Lama but the Dalai Lama dodge the 2nd question from the protestor before they were escorted out of the National Cathedral:

at 37.30 you can hear the protestor ask the DL, "Your Holiness, does this also apply to Dorje Shugden practitioners!" and around 38.30 another protestor asks "Are you saying that Ling Rinpoche and Trijang Rinpoche were wrong ?" upon which the second protestor was escorted out of the cathedral by state department security. The first protestor was not escorted out of the cathedral.

Yes, that's right Vajralight.  the second protestor was escorted out of the cathedral.

When the Dalai Lama said that his gurus were wrong about Dorje Shugden, he had implied that all the erudite and illustrious gurus had no credibility.   In turn it also mean that what His Holiness is preaching is not valid too since he received all the transmission from them.  Isn't that right?

Well the Tibetan government now has decided all Dorje Shugden practitioners are criminals, I hope someone can sue them! So all the great masters are criminals ?!! Trijang Dorjechang criminal ? Lama Yeshe criminal ? Geshe Rabten criminal etc etc.. They've gone mad!

quote kashag;

"Further recognises also the Dolgyal followers and others – whose have caused grave harm to the faith and polity of Tibet under the Chinese government’s ploy and in violation of the law of Karma – as criminals in history."

I do hope this slander can be addressed in court.

This quote from International Shugden Society representative Len Foley makes a powerful point; “One unacceptable aspect of the Dalai Lama’s discrimination right here in the US, is that he has openly banned people of this faith [Shugden faith] from attending his talk at the National Cathedral this week. This means that thousands of Americans who rely upon the practice of Dorje Shugden are not welcome to attend. To our knowledge this is the first time in the history of the National Cathedral that people have been turned away from this illustrious National monument on grounds of their religious belief."

[nobody became a great Buddhist master by practicing without guidance.
The great Siddhas, “saints and sages,” of the past and present practiced the instructions that they personally received from their Root Guru and therefore were able to accomplish the results. The same goes for the Dalai Lama who studied under Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche and Kyabje Ling Rinpoche. ]
