Internationally renowned Brazilian pop star, Deborah Blando sang this song pleading the Dalai Lama to stop lying and giving Dorje Shugden practitioners freedom by lifting the ban. The lyrics below is self explanatory.

Deborah Blando - Dalai Lama Lament

 Lyrics:

Dalai Lama, stop lying
Dalai Lama, PLEASE stop lying
These Buddhist monks, they can't stop crying
O Dalai Lama, please stop lying

Your precious Guru, your holy Lama
Gave you Dorje Shugden, Protector of the Dharma
But through your lies you see him as a mara
Causing students mental pain and trauma

Dalai Lama, stop lying
Dalai Lama, PLEASE stop lying
The Lineage Gurus, they can't stop crying
O Dalai Lama, please stop lying

You get awards, honours, degrees,
You speak of harmony, dialogue and peace,
Then enforce bans and hateful decrees
We beg you practice what you preach, O please

Dalai Lama, stop lying
Dalai Lama, PLEASE stop lying
Your hypocrisy, nobody's buying
O Dalai Lama, please stop lying

You make them chuckle, you make them smile
You make them laugh but after a while
They see no substance, but only style
They see the teachings that you defile

Dalai Lama, stop lying
Dalai Lama, PLEASE stop lying
Tsongkhapa's lineage is quickly dying
O Dalai Lama, please stop lying

But you can change, you really can
Use your wisdom and drop this terrible plan
You can reach out to your fellow man
Show your compassion and lift the ban

Dalai Lama, stop lying
Dalai Lama, PLEASE stop lying
Tsongkhapa's followers, they can't stop crying
O Dalai Lama, please stop lying

This song is giving the impression that the Dalai Lama is doing something wrong. It is giving me a bad taste. Unban and remove religious discrimination is a more accurate and appropriate respond. Anyone who is new or other religious believer might develop the thought that Dalai Lama is someone not to be trusted as a religious leader.

Yes, it does make me feel uneasy to know that His Holiness the Dalai Lama is branded as a liar. In this song and also in the protests that were at every tour location that HHDL went around the world, this is the standard chant. It is not surprising though, as the protestors were asking for HHDL to lift the ban on the practice of Dorje Shugden and HHDL have mentioned to journalist and reporter on worldwide medias that there is no such ban. Maybe the Dalai Lama is deliberately protraying himself as someone not to be trusted or otherwise, we are not able to tell. To me, the rest of the lyrics to the whole song is very true.

HH Dalai Lama is taking advantage of the situation by declaring that is no ban. If people take what His Holiness says as true then it would mean the protesters are lying. When people have taken the side that there is no ban it will be up to us to show evidence there is discrimination happening behind the scene, the Tibetan communities.

The lyrics are pretty straightforward and I'm sure that if we just looked at the lyrics, you'd feel the sufferings of the Tibetans who are bullied online, abused mentally and even physically etc. They deserve religious freedom, everyone does. We live in a civilised world, we don't do things the violent way, why can't we have our own freedom to practise our own religion, how is this fair? The CTA must stop they are doing now/ will do in the future, let your people and everyone else live in harmony. A country is nothing without harmony and peace.
