Why has the Dalai Lama not publicly stated who his next "Regent" will be?

The Dalai Lama could suddenly die tonight and leave a void in his leadership and administration.

When this Dalai Lama dies a "Regent" will take over to find, recognize and enthrone his reincarnation as the next 15th Dalai Lama.

This "Regent" will have total power over the incarnation's education and administration until his 18th birthday.

Why not tell every one who his is so there will be no confusion after his death?

Why the mystery about your next "Regent"??

Why has the Dalai Lama not publicly stated who his next "Regent" will be?

Probably the reason is that Dalai Lama knows that China will choose the next Dalai Lama regardless of who the regent he chooses. Probably this time Dalai Lama really just one to have one Dalai Lama and to be recognized in China to continue the legacy.

Another reason could be from the latest news, Dalai Lama mentioned that he will live for 110 years old and probably it's not necessary to state the new Regent at the moment.
