Will the Dalai Lama Cut Foreign Travel?
« on: March 27, 2018, 07:30:36 AM »
Only a few days ago, the office of the Dalai Lama announced that His Holiness will cut foreign travel due to exhaustion. http://www.newsweek.com/dalai-lama-tibetan-buddhist-leader-reduce-2018-travel-due-age-exhaustion-859726

Now they announce that the Dalai Lama will be visitng Switzerland in September. http://www.tibetanjournal.com/dalai-lama-scheduled-to-visit-switzerland-in-september/

The office of the Dalai Lama and the CTA have always issued contradictory statements that confuse people. Whatever the reason is, the CTA and the Tibetan people should learn to stand up on their feet and not rely on the big name of the Dalai Lama to support their interest. The Dalai Lama is over 80 years old, the CTA should stop using him as their political pawn already.

The reality is, His Holiness is compassion, his work to benefit beings are not going to stop despite "old age". No one compassionate being in history stop their beneficial works due to age, they worked to the end of their lives. Moreover, His Holiness is the emanation of Avalokiteshvara, the Buddha of Compassion, who will come to anyone's rescue when needed. Switzerland has the merits to have His Holiness if his visit finally manifested. His Holiness will continue to travel, just like Kaybje Lati Rinpoche to the few moments before he entered clear light, to spread Buddha's message of love, peace, and harmony. And one day, we wish very much he spreads Dorje Shugden and lifts his ban on the World Peace Protector of our time.

Agree that the Dalai Lama is compassionate but the inconsistency and contradictory statements are really getting a bit too much, don't you think? It feels like the Dalai Lama is playing a trick on everyone. First he says is exhausted and will no long travel, then now he is going to Switzerland? What is going on and Why is Dalai lama manifesting to be so fickle?

Can the Dalai Lama manifest this fickle mindedness with the Dorje Shugden issue as well, and say "hey I think Dorje Shugden are people too and deserve to be treated equally?!" Lol Would be so cool if this can happen!

I do think India will watch one of their most famous guest, His Holiness the 14th Dalai Lama very very closely.

Especially if India wants to thaw the relationship to a whole new level with China.

The Chinese are investing in India, as the potential of the Indian market is yet to manifest.

The Dalai Lama announced that he had cancer before but he is now cured. He has been travelling around even though not much. After the health issue and also with his old age, he should rest more but he has been busy meeting people and giving teaching in his Dharamsala. Why is the CTA not advising the Dalai Lama to slow down and rest more? He is already 80 something, he should let the young lamas to continue to do what he has been doing. Or perhaps the CTA is just milking the Dalai Lama, trying to make as much money as possible while the Dalai Lama is still around? Without the Dalai Lama, people will just ignore the CTA.

Without the Dalai Lama the CTA will not exist that is the real concern CTA has. This is why they are trying their best to fight with China for their rights to find and enthroned the next Dalai Lama. The problem is will there even be a next Dalai Lama which Dalai Lama has mentioned that there might not be one if he sees it is not necessary and perhaps a way to clear away the corrupt feudal leadership.

I think if the Dalai Lama chooses not to return, there is a bigger reason. One that would ultimately be of benefit to the Buddha dharma which is higher than Dharamsala and all the politics. Let's not forget the Dalai Lama is, after all, a monk and an emanation of Chenrezig.

All this while CTA is just behind Dalai Lama and they never lead as a true leader. CTA has not looked after the Tibetan welfare and only focuses on getting funding either using Dalai Lama fame or the sacrifices of the Tibetan in self-immolation. Now the latest project by CTA is setting a bank. This is really scary because CTA is famous for its non-transparent and misused fund. This project is a self-sustaining project but is for CTA and not for Tibetan. CTA has not mentioned how this project would help Tibetan? It's a very fishy project.

Tibetan has no country but will have a bank. Interesting!

Since the older time, the Tibetan leadership has always been exploiting the Tibetans. Common Tibetans were used as slaves to work for the landlord. After the Tibetans escape from Tibet, it is still the same, the CTA is using the Tibetans to ask for free money from the sponsors. Not only the CTA used the normal people, they also use high lamas to make money for them. The CTA knows the Dalai Lama is old now so they want to groom the 17th Karmapa to be the successor. Fortunately, the 17th Karmapa refused to become their puppet and ran away from them. The CTA is a lousy and failed leader. Tibetans cannot rely on them anymore.

Sad to say that, all this while the Dalai Lama has been the one who has been going around the world to ask for help and support from the public. He raised fund for the Tibetan community by giving public talks and appearances. All the CTA does is to make sure the tickets are all sold out so they can have the money. I cannot imagine what will happen once the Dalai Lama enters into clear light. The CTA only makes use of the Dalai Lama, how sad.
