Unveiling of Buddha draws Tibetan Faithfuls and Tourists

Tashilhunpo Monastery in Xigaze the seat of Panchen Lamas who strongly proliferates the practice of Dorje Shugden witnessed a huge crowd of ten of thousands followers at their unveiling of Buddha Thangka recently.   This is another stronghold of Shugden practitioners in Tibet besides Chatreng which recently had 400,000 steadfast Shugden followers turning up at the the Monlam Festival in Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche’s Sampheling Monastery in Chatreng, Tibet. 



Tibetan Buddhist monks prepare for a Thangka worship activity at the Tashilhunpo Monastery in Xigaze, southwest China's Tibet Autonomous Region, July 13, 2014.  The Tashilhunpo Monastery, the traditional seat of the Panchen Lama lineage, holds a three-day Thangka worship activity annually between the 14th and 16th days of the fifth Tibetan lunar month. Tens of thousands of Gelug School Buddhist believers will attend the activity, during which they pray for auspices while worshipping three large-scale Thangkas portraying discrete Buddhas.
