An Ode to Dorje Shugden
« on: February 16, 2014, 08:15:27 PM »
The Rise of a King Protector

The crushing of a knife
The slashing of silk
The red-stained saffron robes
Exploded an emanation of wisdom
Sewn seeds to be dispersed by binary codes.

We have felt his wrath
Through the sands of love
In an hour glass that is unexposed by time.

He saved a holy life
From snowing laws and flowering tanks
But behind rustling power games
A national hero was beheaded.
But today, today he awakens...

His destiny programmed when the wind traveled
Fruits born yesterday
Harvested today.
When thoughts in the kitchen
Are no longer the Devil's broth
The guardian rises
Wings grew to conquer the poisoned sea.

The seemingly betrayal
A distraction
For the dangling head to fester.

Today, alas!
Today the hour glass breaks
Unleashing a lion for feeble lambs.

I am not a poet or good in words but this ode makes the hair on my back stands! What a beautiful ode! This ode is an apt praise of the Protector and the sacrifice he made for sentient beings of this age. He saved the Dalai Lama but was put was put down ie "beheaded". When the conditions are right, the Protector arises again "unleashing a lion for the feeble lambs". Note the "for" in the sentence and not "on". This means the lion helps the lamb, not eat them.

Manisha Kudo, love what you wrote. Thought I'll share with you a response =)

300 years, the great King protected,
Like a beacon in the night, he shines the light.

Instead of grace people seek,
He is disgraced as we speak.

In the sea of blames, the great King gasps,
Blames devised through clever play.

But deep under sea, the beacon lives,
An immortal army of innocence, devotes their lives.

Mounted on their steed, forward they go fearlessly,
Their minds in the state of the awakened.

Their swords cut deep, their strength bone shattering,
They pound the falseness to dust.

Visioned to enthrone the rightful great King,
They walk through the corpses of lies.

Until untruth adopts truth,
The march to awaken goes on.

Beautiful words written.  The second ode by Q made me cry.  So much injustice to one so kind and compassionate.

Love both the odes.

I find this Ode quite nice. And just by reading it i can already tell that this ode is about how Dorje Shugden saved the Dalai lamas life. That ode is a must for people to read as it gives a simple but deep explanation on the Dalai Lamas hazardous escape from Tibet to India. Had it not been for Dorje Shugdens precise instructions the Dalai Lama would not be alive today.  Some say that it was Nechung who told the Dalai Lama to leave Tibet, but the truth is Nechung actually told the Dalai Lama to stay in Tibet, had the Dalai Lama decided to stay in Tibet he would be dead by now.
Hence i'd like the Dalai Lama to pay respect to the very protector who saved his hide.

Beautiful ode from Manisha Kudo and Q.  It is known that Dorje Shugden saved Dalai Lama’s live yet was killed and belittled. How can there be so much injustice to someone so compassionate? Please show some gratefulness, Dalai Lama.

Such beautiful moving odes by Manisha Kudo and Q.

May the flames of truth burn strong
Ashes of ignorance in its trail
Oh how I wish the day swiftly comes
When the Great King arise in Victory!

Those in robes of purity
Mount your seats of honour
Bless us with your holy teachings
Of Enlightenment as the King promised!
