Temples are places of sanctuary and solitude for those seeking peace. How sad that some temples choose segregation just because of a devotee's personal practice.

Is it NOT true that Shugdenpas are also Buddhists, who took refuge in the Buddha, Dharma and Sangha? Then how come because of a personal and private practice of a Dharma Protector exempt them from being qualified to enter a temple to pay homage to the Buddha.

How can the most renowned Monk stop their rights?  Let us have your thoughts and comments.

Well, it is a free country and the temple is making a statement of their loyalty to His Holiness the Dalai Lama and thus not practicing Dorje Shugden. The part that got to the nerves of myself was when they stated that Dorje Shugden is a spirit. How Buddhist and righteous can they be when they can call another form of Manjushri a spirit? Surely any intelligent visitor would think twice about entering this temple when they see this offending notice at the main entrance.

Temple is a place of worship, a place for people to learn dharma, to seek for help, to serve others and to find a spiritual guide that will lead us to enlightenment. Not a place to spread wrong information and discourage others from doing practice of their choice. A temple should welcome everyone, irregardless of his or her religion or practice.

If DS is a spirit, and a DS practioner coming to temple, followers of the temple should welcome that person. Only when people come then only have chance to help. Doesn't people of this temple have compassion to help those "in trouble"? Shame on them to put up such a notice.
