The Violence Against Lukar Jam Starts Now
« on: March 23, 2017, 11:55:47 PM »
As we have suspected and expected of the typical Tibetan leadership, Lukar Jam is now being targeted by Central Tibetan Administration (CTA) and the VIOLENCE has started!!!

So again Dharamsala proves what kind of leadership they are. What Democracy?
Freedom of Expression - None!
Freedom of Speech - Forget it!

This is the reality folks... this is the REAL Tibetan leadership...
This is your Dharamsala...
This is how they have been operating for centuries...
Anyone who is found opposing their views and have a different opinion WILL BE OSTRACISED and TARGETED. ANY MEANS NECESSARY & ENCOURAGED.

Trust me, no MP is going speak up and ask the Tibetans attacking Lukar to stop. You just watch. If there is anyone, they will definitely be quickly asked to shut up. It is either that or expect war from within.

Ask yourself WHY on earth did the Sikyong Dr. Lobsang Sangay bring up Mr. Lukar Jam's name on Tibetan Upraising Day of all days? Why even bring up his name just because of one poem he wrote? Holy cow, you can't even express your thoughts in a poem, just because it had a slight hint, that he wishes his good friend to live for 113 years and it gets blown out of proportion???!!! Full story told here... http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/news/lukar-jam-fiasco-reveals-nature-of-tibetan-democracy/

Well, here are some pictures posted up on Mr. Lukar Jam's wife's FB as evidence that they are now targets of violence. Shugden brothers and sisters... this sure sound familiar hu?

Just like what was mentioned in the article “Lukar Jam Fiasco Reveals Nature of Tibetan Democracy”, Lukar Jam’s experience of being targeted for penning a benign poem is not an isolated case. This too is exactly the reaction that Dorje Shugden practitioners receive from the Tibetan people.

I am sure we all remember reading about the attack on long-time assistant of His Holiness Trijang Rinpoche, Gen Chonze in Shar Gaden Monastery, Mundgod. Gen Chonze was already 84 years old and this was what the Tibetans will do to such a senior old monk who has harmed no one. The only reason he was attacked was because he practice Dorje Shugden, something that the Tibetan leadership doesn't agree with at that point of time.

The Tibetan leadership is known to vent out their anger and revenge in violence. Although outwardly they speak of democracy, unity, tolerance and acceptance, they contradict what they profess in how they treat those who dare to speak up and share a different point of view. For those who are not aware, this is the article:http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/the-controversy/cta-creates-violence-again/] http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/the-controversy/cta-creates-violence-again/

There was also the case where a large group of monks and lay people in Kalimpong who invaded Gaden Choling Monastery and attempted to seize it by force, showing utter disrespect and aggression towards the small community of Dorje Shugden lamas of Gaden Choling at a time when they have just lost a leader and someone very dear. The monastery was attacked for the 2nd time in less than 2 months! In the first attack, despite police attempts at mediation, they have refused to leave the premises.

[You can read more about the incidents here:

1st attack: UPDATED: Domo Geshe Rinpoche’s Monastery in Phedong Attacked!
http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/features/breaking-news-domo-geshe-rinpoches-monastery-in-phedong-attacked/

Breaking News: 2nd Attack on Domo Geshe Rinpoche’s Monastery!
http://www.dorjeshugden.com/all-articles/news/2nd-attack-on-domo-geshe-rinpoches-monastery/ ]

I am horrified that Sikyong Lobsang Sangay who won the re-election, has previously called for unity and “urged everyone to cease all election-related negative activities to restore harmony and fulfil the vision of His Holiness the Dalai Lama.” Now, he is openly attacking Sikyong candidate Lukar Jam who has done nothing to him.

No one in the Tibetan community will forget the unfair removal of Lukar Jam from participating in the final election, and now this. Some Tibetans have boycotted the election and refused to vote, one of which includes the former Sikyong candidate Lukar Jam himself. The first directly elected Prime Minister of the Tibetan Government-in-Exile, Samdhong Rinpoche himself has also refused to vote.

All these do not seem to make a difference in the Tibetan leadership and their unethical and unfair way of leading the administration. This is definitely not the government or administration one should put their trust in, an administration who attacked its own people, the very people they are supposed to protect.

I just went on Phayul and saw this news being posted there: http://www.phayul.com/news/article.aspx?id=38833&article=Lukar%27s+car+vandalized%2c+says+his+family+feel+%27threatened+by+anti-social+elements

Lukar's car vandalized, says his family feel 'threatened by anti-social elements'
Phayul[Thursday, March 23, 2017 19:18]
By Tenzin Dharpo

DHARAMSHALA, MAR. 24: Tibetan writer and former Director of the Gu-Chu-Sum organization, Lukar Jam Atsok, who has been at the center of controversy and condemnation for an alleged troll against the Tibetan leader the Dalai Lama has said he and his family - his wife and two children - feel “threatened by anti- social elements”.

The statement from the man who was also one of the candidates for the last Tibetan general elections came after he found his car vandalized by unidentified miscreants last night near his rented house near Norbulingka institute in Sidhbari area here.

Lukar Jam and his wife Pema Choedon have filed a police complaint regarding the matter. In their complaint letter addressed to the Superintendent of Police, Kangra at Dharamsala, the couple appealed for a thorough investigation saying that “anti social elements fulfilling other party’s agendas may be active within the community.

The copies of the letter have been sent to SHO, Dharamshala Police station, the Indian Intelligence Bureau, as well as the Security Department of the exile Tibetan government (known officially as the Central Tibetan Administration).

Jam found out about his car’s broken windows early this morning after his neighbor informed him. In his complaint with attached pictures, Jam wrote that the windows and wind shield of his car was broken with a rock. Jam’s wife Pema Choedon wrote on her Facebook page that she was certain it was not a random act of vandalism or attempt at thievery. She also wrote that the “attack on property” was preceded by incidents when her husband was openly “challenged, warned of physical harm”. However, the family said that they suspected the culprit to be anti social elements within the (Tibetan) community although they have “no specific suspects”.

The former political prisoner was recently in the center of a much debated issue regarding his poem that many alleged made an undue reference to the Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalia Lama. Earlier last month, Jam posted a eulogy dedicated to the late Tibetologist Prof. Elliot Sperling on his Facebook page. The English translation of the original Tibetan language post which was also posted on the same page stated, “Not out of loyalty, but speaking of your ethical courageous position, you (Elliot Sperling) are the one who should have lived for 113 years”. Although the post had not made any direct reference to the Tibetan leader, the post has since been condemned by many Tibetans and attracted comments, many critical of his view.

The Tibetan PM Lobsang Sangay on March 10 said, “Lukar’s remarks were objectionable and unfortunate. Such statements sow discord in the Tibetan community and gives reasons for adversaries to rejoice.” In the ongoing session of the Tibetan Parliament, PM Sangay said that Lukar Jam has a history of making denigrating remarks to the Tibetan leader. A lengthy discourse followed in the Tibetan parliament where opinions were divided on the issue.

Speaking to Phayul, Jam said, “I suspect the crime was perpetrated by someone who did not agree with my recent post or by an opportunistic agent of China aiming to plant discord within the Tibetan community. Either ways, the responsibility of the incident rests upon the CTA leadership who made public statements on the issue as well as individuals and proxy accounts online that created a ‘misunderstanding’ between him and the general public.” He also said he will leave the issue in the hands of the Indian law enforcement authorities.

Lukar Jam Atsok is a former Tibetan political prisoner who also served at the helm of the non-governmental organization Gu-Chu-Sum, a political as well as a welfare organization for former political prisoners, based in Dharamshala.

Earlier in 2016, he stood in the Tibetan general elections for the Prime Ministerial post of Central Tibetan Administration and was the sole candidate that stood for complete independence of Tibet as his core stand for the resolution of the Tibetan issue. During his campaign, he was alleged that he had made reference to the Tibetan leader His Holiness the Dalai Lama in poor light although he has denied it later.

Remember this?

State Oracle Nechung rebukes CTA top brass
[Monday, April 04, 2016 22:18]
By Tenzin Dharpo

DHARAMSHALA, April 4: In an atypical display of the Tibetan exile Administration and its more mystic affiliation, the top brass of the CTA has been reportedly reprimanded by the state oracle of Tibet Nechung Choegyal and the deity Tsering Chenga (Tashi Tseringma) for their conduct in the recently concluded general elections.

A prophecy letter on the official letterhead of Nechung Monastery condemns the “mishandling of the gift of democracy” besides the violation of the oaths taken by both Sikyong and the Speaker. The letter warned that the mismanagements could lead to negative consequences on His Holiness the Dalai Lama’s health and life and directed the two to offer apology to His Holiness the Dalai Lama.

The prophecy was made during a private audience of Nechung oracle and Tsering Chenga with the Tibetan PM, Speaker of the Tibetan Parliament and members of the 15th Tibetan parliament. Tibet.net, the official CTA website described the meeting as a ceremony to pay tribute to “the oracles for their guidance and counsel in the successful completion of the current Kashag and the Tibetan Parliament-in-Exile”.

Lobsang Sangay better learn how to unite Tibetans rather then scatter them in the ten directions quick before something untoward happens. Karma is karma, you cannot hide.

This is intolerable. CTA cannot go around behaving like dictators. If they are unhappy with anyone for whatever reason, they send the gangsters to do the dirty job. Where is the democracy? Where is the freedom of speech? Where is the Human Rights?

I guess because they do not have a country, the rest of the world cannot be bothered to police them. And, because they are behaving so badly, no one wants to really be associated with them. Downward spiral of negativities.

an opportunistic agent of China aiming to plant discord within the Tibetan community. what on earth does this mean Lukar? Why does it have to be a Chinese agent doing this? This is so distorted. Or perhaps maybe you would like to say that Sikyong Lobsang Sangay is also an opportunistic agent of China... yeah that probably sounds right, no?

One thing I dislike about these pro-rangzen Tibetans is that they have a really narrow one sided thinking. Everything bad seems to be blamed on China. Look I ain't no huge China fan either, but playing the blame it all on China game is really passe and not going to get you guys anywhere, it has not for 50 over years, so might as well get over it and move on. Straighten things out at your own home base first like... elect a PM that is FOR THE PEOPLE and actually PRACTICE real DEMOCRACY? Then you can have the right to point the finger at China because so far, your administration does not give human rights to religious freedom nor freedom of speech! Look at what is happening to you because of your little poem! For crying out loud it is just a poem, and it has caused threats and violence upon you and your family.

Well said, ShugdenProtector. The Tibetan community in exile must first have the guts and knowledge to elect the right people into the right positions who can bring democracy to them. They have to do some serious spring cleaning before they can even have some hope of making progress towards talking to China with regards to their returning to their homeland.

Although Lukar Jam is not a Shugden practitioner but this is really sad because the Tibetan leadership continue to employ medieval fear tactics to eliminate political rivals whom they see as a threat. This is just what they did with Shugden lamas and practitioners.

For Shugden practitioners, its more of a means to distract the ignorant Tibetan public from the real issues at hand that they are avoiding. Hence, the reality of the situation is that Dorje Shugden is used as a scapegoat. However, the Tibetan leadership are getting more desperate for a coverup when they are continually exposed for avoiding the real issues. Hence, it is imperative that the Tibetan leadership is exposed to the Tibetan public for its hypocrisy.

It doesn't matter what good and sacrifice one has done for the country but one wrong word, statement, action, and that person is branded a dissident, a traitor, a Chinese spy, a demon worshipper. This man just composed a prayer and a eulogy for a dearly departed friend and all hell broke loose. And the CTA say there's no ban on Dorje Shugden practice and there's religious freedom. CTA called themselves a democratic government in exile yet when one person said or wrote something that they think was directed at the Dalai Lama and them, immediately they reacted and branded that person as what I mentioned above. Ridiculous.

This is really typical! How embarrassing to be part of the such community! Its always about violence, discrimination and injustice of which nothing can't be done until the day HHDL and the minor CTA do something about it. Why can't there be freedom of speech and freedom to practice?

Your Holiness, as the 'leader' of the community should do something about it. Why can't you just tell ALL the anti Dorje Shugden people to stop discriminating Dorje Shugden practitioners? This was what you said :
“I hear that some people report that I have said no one should do the practice of Dolgyal. That is not what I say. There are problems with the practice, which I know from my own experience, and that’s why I recommend people not to do it. But if someone wants to do it, they can. There are monks today in monasteries adjacent to Ganden and Sera who specifically follow the practice." taken from http://www.dalailama.com/news/post/1457-avalokiteshvara-empowerment-and-public-talk

So is the statement above considered to be just another lie? Are we allowed freely or with prejudice?

As for Lukar Jam, I am sorry that you and your family are going through much fear and discrimination for that one little poem that people are so obsessed about till now. Hope that you and your family will be safe from harm.

It is amazing that just because Lukar Jam mentioned ‘113’ in his poetic statement which implies that he wishes Elliot Sperling had lived longer, the Dalai Lama’s followers think that Lukar Jam does not wish the Dalai Lama to live longer. Lukar Jam did not even mention the Dalai Lama’s name at all in his statement.

It is interesting, however, that Lukar Jam, a former Sikyong candidate, is penalised for his statement just like Dorje Shugden practitioners are penalised for their faith. The Dalai Lama’s followers, however, are not fair in only penalising these two parties. Those who still aspire to obtain independence for Tibet are also against the Dalai Lama who is currently promoting the Middle Way approach. Even the former Sikyong Samdhong Rinpoche recognized the danger in those who still fight for Tibetan independence because they are detrimental to the Dalai Lama’s middle-way strategy.

One should wonder why the CTA and the Dalai Lama’s followers are only targeting Dorje Shugden practitioners and Lukar Jam, and not the Tibetan independence promoter. I always maintain that the reasons are more sinister. The Tibetan leadership in exile have been using Dorje Shugden practitioners as a scapegoat for their failures in achieving Tibetan independence cause, and Lukar Jam is targeted because he used to be the sikyong candidate and a competition to the current Tibetan leadership. Therefore, he is a threat.

On the other hand, the Tibetan leadership in exile have been using the rangzen movement and protest as an indication that Tibetans are not treated well by China and therefore it creates an opportunity to argue about how the Tibetans are suffering under the Chinese occupation.

The three cases - Rangzen, Dorje Shugden and Lukar Jam are viewed as against the Dalai Lama. The only difference is Dorje Shugden practitioners and Lukar Jam are viewed as a threat or a scapegoat to the Tibetan leadership in exile while the rangzen movement is still useful to the Tibetan leadership in exile. How sad!

Looking back at what Lukar Jam said in the past when he was running to be Sikyong...

Read this manifesto of Lukar Jam for Sikyong 2016 http://lukar2016.com/manifesto/

Look at the section "On Shugden Worshippers"

Quote
I am confident I will resolve this controversy, which is threatening to tear apart the Tibetan community. To me Shugden is a small issue, but due to the mistaken policies we have made it a big issue, basically we have blown it out of proportion. Shugden is a matter of worshipping a spirit, that too a Geluka spirit. We can’t have a monolithic view of Shugden worshippers. We have to know that there are different types of Shugden practitioners: there are those Shuden practitioners, who openly collude with our enemy, the Chinese government, as revealed by Lama Tseta. Then there are those who quietly practice the deity, while also acknowledging that they believe in the Dalai Lama. We also have to take into account that there are mischievous people harming the Tibetan cause in the name of loyalty to the Dalai Lama, in the name of fighting the Shugden worshippers. We have to have a nuanced, comprehensive policy that will tackle this issue.

Actually, if you ask me, Lukar Jam would have been a much better Sikyong than the current Lobsang Sangay. At least with Lukar, he tries to bring everyone together and not divide them like Sagay is doing. But guess what, he obviously did not, could not and will not win the votes to be a Sikyong simply because his ideas would be the total opposite and challenge to His Holiness. Hence, this is why he did not win and we all know this. I am sure every in exile knows this.

So for Sangay to actually bring up Lukar's name on Tibetan Uprising Day is really low and indicates the ugly, corrupt, and bias he is. What democracy? There is none, it is all a facade!

This tells a lot about what people have to face! How can someone be attacked because of a poem? Even if it was targetted at HHDL, this is not a reason to threaten Lukar Jam and his family and destroy his car, is it?!

There is no proof of who did this as far as I can see, but the similarities with what happened and still happens to Dorje Shugden practitioners and even monks are obvious!

I feel bad for the Tibetans who cannot express themselves. In a free country, people can say their opinion and write any poem they like as long as it is not threatening or lying. But here only the number 113 is offensive! Sorry, this is really too much!

I hope that all Tibetans have their freedom of speech and freedom of religious practice as this is only the basis for a democratic society. Tibetans should be united and shoulder each other instead they pick up a fight on every single occasion! So sad!

I hope Lukar Jam, his family and all Tibetans are soon safe and can live a free life with freedom of speech and expression and freedom to choose their religion!

This is another proof of how the Tibetan leadership treat Tibetans in exile. Anyone who goes against them, they will harm them. The Tibetan leadership did the same to the Dorje Shugden people so this method is not something new but their ONLY method for as long as they have existed, barbaric and uncivilised. The Rangzen obviously have now become a new target of the Tibetan leadership and sooner or later Lukar Jam and his family will flee to overseas for asylum. At the rate the Tibetan leadership is going, Tibetans will leave the India or take on Indian citizenship sooner or later. Since the Indian government has stepped in to support Tibetans-in-exile in obtaining their India passports, the Tibetan leadership is losing control gradually and eventually there will be no Tibetans but Indians, Chinese, Americans, Canadians, Europeans.
