I strong suspect that the merits for Tibetans to have the Dalai Lama back is waning. If has been so since 1959 when the Dalai Lama escaped to India and via India has done tremendous work in spreading the Dharma to the outside world particularly to the West. How do we tell the Tibetans that their beloved country is lost and it will from now on be part of China. That is a fact that even after 50 years, the Dalai Lama with all his effort can't change. It is the karma of Tibetans and the merits of others outside Tibet to benefit from the Dalai Lama spreading the Dharma.
If we consider the balance of the benefit, then we can see clearly that the many outside of Tibet benefit more than those inside Tibet. It is a case of the big picture. If Tibet can be saved, then it would have been done many years ago. The best is for the CTA and Tibetan to let go and accept the karma instead of adding to the negativities with self immolations and such. I am sorry if anyone is offended but it is clear. Accept China, like Hong Kong SAR, then, Tibet will flourish. The condition will be better. Why the attachment to self government?
That Tibetans do not want the Dalai Lama back if their lost and their karma or lack of merits. HE will benefit others more as we have already seen.
