It is very painful to see Buddhists arguing in this way. Both sides in this dispute have taken extreme positions and said very disrespectful and insulting things about the other side.
This is not the way I expect Buddhists to act. Neither side is heeding Atisha’s advice. Politics is getting in the way of spirituality here.
How can the Sangha heal itself?
I would suggest a period of meditation, where both sides make genuine effort to detail all the admirable qualities of the people on the opposite side of this controversy, to feel authentic love and compassion for them.
If there is a debate to be had, let it be logical, conducted without insults and slurs. Let us assume both sides believe they are motivated by the highest intentions, and accept this in good faith.
Let the leaders on both sides set the example.
Finally Which is better, to win the argument, or to have acted with kindness, compassion, love for all beings, including Dorje Shugden, including his holiness the Dalai Lama and including Kelsang Gyatso?
Return to being monks. Bring peace to our world.

The controversial question. Is it Buddist politics or spirit worship? Vajrayana Buddhism is a Tanric practice handed down by Vajradhara. This practice is Guru Yoga which is merging the Deity with yourself. To be able to practice this Tantra one must look for your ideal Guru which can take up to 12 years to find. The 1st step to learn will be Guru Yoga when you merge yourself with the Guru Deity. Next you visualise the Mandala which is pureland representing Heaven on earth. In the older generation Dharma Protectors were popularly practiced and one Dharma Protector is Dorje Shugden. Practicing Yamantaka and Vajra Yogini is for Spiritual Practice and Development and Enlightenment. Dharma Protectors are for gaining wealth and protection against negatives forces that will harm you and be an obstacle to your Dharma practice. Two people who are practitioners of Dorje Shugden are 5th Dalai Lama and Pabongka Rinpoche. Pabongka Rinpoche has influence a lot of Tibetans to practice Dorje Shugden and has a lot of followers.

I am true follower of the Dalai Lama…I see that people who are against him will speak evil.How can one speak bad to god.You will relies Dalai Lama is TRUE GOD only when you are dying of death/ suffering . So people think positive lol..

Dear Michael
How could we realise compassion, non-duality and emptyness if we throw out of our mind and heart any living being.
If we believe in evil, then we also believe in good. In buddhism evil and good neither exist from their own side, non-duality and emptyness are said to be beyond judgement.
From the USA side, Muslims are evil and Christians the good ones, is that the truth? Is the opposite the truth? May be truth is beyond human judgements and dualistic visions.

I am a Malaysian,we are a multi racial soceity,although our country is a muslim govt,we have great tolorance and respect others religeous practice,we do not disperage or speak ill of others.I am a buddhist myself,tibetan buddhism or mahayana teaching has recently brought about disharmony to the buddhist sect in my country,creating a divide,its a shame.Today I can only comprehand with wisdom that the Dalai Lama,Osama bin Laden and Terry Jones are the true evil and the same manifestation of the devil in human form.
