He was announced to pass away very soon 10 years before 1984 because of his bad heart, it was a miracle from medical point of view to have live for that long with that health conditions. He has strong faith in Dharma that this is the antidote to all sufferings. According to Lama Yeshe, his faith to mantra keeps him alive for the last 10 years. That's amazing. At a very early age he expressed a desire to live a religious life. So at the age of 6 his parents granted permission for him to enter Sera monastery. When he was 8 years old he was ordained as a novice monk. He received many teachings from many great masters and became a fully ordained monk at the age of 28. He has strong faith in the dharma and would not like to live the life with his parents though he love them very much.
