It was passed down to Lama Tsongkhapa and then to Gelwa Ensapa and to Losang Chokyi Gyeltsen (the first Panchen Lama), and to modern day masters like Pabongkha Rinpoche and Trijang Rinpoche. They, in turn, have passed on the lineage to the present generation of teachers who 'transmit these teachings excellently in both the East and the West'. This lineage, which has been engaging in Protector Dorje Shugden's practice for the last 350 years, has seen an 'interrupted' flow of great and highly attained masters, like Pabongkha Rinpoche and Trijang Rinpoche. All these masters have relied upon Protector Dorje Shugden as their main Dharma protector. This lineage is, indeed, a living lineage as the teachings and experiences transmitted from master to disciple have resulted in realizations of the teachings and inner mind transformation by the disciple via their spiritual practice. As Dorje Shugden is the great Dharma protector of Lama Tsongkhapa's teachings, the practitioners of this lineage can be assured of tremendous spiritual progress and quick attainments when they (like the great Masters) rely on him as their main Dharma guardian and protector.
