I feel the same way you do about Dorje Shugden in that sometimes, I have conversations with him. I don't talk out loud but I turn my attention to him and kind of 'converse' mentally. Maybe it's just my imagination but I always feel Dorje Shugden's presence around me. I always feel him close to me, like he's behind me and there when I need him. When I think of him, I think of someone very fatherly and warm, but stern when he needs to be and someone who radiates a lot of love.
