Kyabje Ling Rinpoche, the main organizer of the Jangchup Lamrim teachings with His Holiness the Dalai Lama currently taking place in Mundgod Tibetan Settlement in India, was injured in a deadly automobile collision the day before the teachings began. According to Phayul.com, Ling Rinpoche was traveling to Goa to receive His Holiness on November 29 when there was an accident, which left the driver of Rinpoche’s car dead. Ling Rinpoche is in a hospital in Goa and reported to be “out of danger.”

Lama Zopa Rinpoche’s attendant Ven. Roger Kunsang, who is currently at the teachings in Mundgod with Lama Zopa Rinpoche, shared in an email that Ling Rinpoche received the full impact of the collision and should be dead. He also wrote that Rangjung Neljorma Khadro Namsel Drolma (Khadro-la) miraculously arrived at the scene of the accident five minutes after it happened, just after Ling Rinpoche, who was in a great deal of pain, had been freed from the car.

“Khadro-la had just arrived in Goa (about two or three hours away) and said to her two attendants they needed to do puja as it was a bad day, and then suddenly she said they should leave Goa straight away and drive quickly ‒ that was all!” Ven. Roger wrote. “Then they came on the accident scene. There was no one else there. The accident had just happened and one man had dragged Ling Rinpoche free. It was a strange scene they said. The driver was already dead. Also in the car was TT-la (a 79-year-old monk who had been the previous Ling Rinpoche’s secretary), who was in a bad way, as well as another young monk. It took a long time to get help.

“Khadro-la took control of the whole scene and started checking everyone and doing her thing,” Ven. Roger wrote. “They got everyone to a small hospital and after some quick patching and more transport, took them to the main hospital in Goa ‒ in all more than eight hours. It was 11 hours before they got Ling Rinpoche in on the operating table and then it was a seven-hour operation. The young monk is OK. TT-la has had several operations and seems stable.”

My Lama had advised me to recite Dorje Shugden’s mantra for my family members (immediate and far) and my partner. My immediate family had been going through financial problems year after year and the problems never seemed to come to an end.

In spite of all the problems, I’m happy to share that with Dorje Shugden’s blessings, we were always able to get by everyday. I remember that at our lowest point, my family members had to share one packet of rice for lunch and dinner among the three of them.

This went on for a while but during those days, people would somehow come to visit and take them out for a meal. Also, my Lama would kindly arrange for people to bring groceries for my family.

We did not reveal our situation to anyone at the time, not even to my Lama, as I did feel that we were being helped by Dorje Shugden. Although our financial problems are still not completely solved now, I still feel very blessed that this situation has actually made my family stronger.

We also don’t suffer as much as we did before, when we would become very stressed out, worry for days and sometimes even have big arguments. With Dorje Shugden’s practice, things have become calmer and our minds are more stable.

When I first started this practice, my Lama also advised me to recite many mantras for my partner, as we were having a lot of arguments and experiencing a lot of unhappiness. This was because I spent a lot of time at work and was busy with Dharma activities, which left me with little time for him and his family.

I remember I even prayed to Dorje Shugden that if this partner was not meant to be with me, to please divert him to look for another new partner that would be better for him. He is still with me now.

In the same year, my partner had an accident, which resulted in a serious leg injury, and he had to go through 2 operations. My Lama again advised me to recite Dorje Shugden’s mantra and blow onto his wounds as many times as I could. This was to help him recover faster and not to have any further complications. His recovery went very smoothly and well.

I do hope my sharing can inspire you to also start this holy practice and may you always be protected by Dorje Shugden.

Suddenly, a van came out from a junction on the right, cutting into the main road without noticing that I was approaching him from the back. I noticed the van immediately and stepped on the brakes as quickly as I could.

However, it was too sudden and my car slid on the wet, rainy road. It was too late for me to even brake properly. Everyone else in the car was screaming in fear and inside my heart, I really thought we were going to die by crashing into this van that had just swerved out!

I couldn’t take it so I closed my eyes… when I opened my eyes in the next few seconds, we are all safe and my car was barely inches away from the van. It was like someone had pulled my car back and stopped this accident!

Everyone was extremely relieved and happy! From the bottom of my heart, I immediately thought that it must have been the protector who manifested this miracle and saved us from this accident.

Dear sir or madam:

In October this year, I was travelling in Ireland with my family, including my husband and two daughters. One afternoon, we were making our way along a narrow winding mountain road in mist and light rain. The road was wet. My elder daughter, who was driving, suddenly moved the car too far left and hit the curb at the edge of a low ditch. The car skidded. She lost control and crashed the car into the hillside to the left.

It happened so fast that we were all in a state of shock! As the car crashed into the hill side, the airbag, next to my husband (who was sitting on the left seat in front), sprung open and ballooned up! It buffeted my husband against the impact of the crash which almost crushed the door next to him.

Despite the severity of the crash (the car was a wreck after the accident and had to be towed away to the workshop), none of us were even the least bit injured!

I knew then that it was the Protector who had kept us safe; I have no doubts about that. He was there with me and my family, as he always is and will be, to protect us all the way.

I am writing to you, to let you know of the above because it escapes me why you should suppress a deity such as him, when he lacks nowt the slightest intention to harm anyone.
