H.H. Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche is one of my most respected high lamas. He earned my respect even before I learn about the importance of lineage through his 24 days Lamrim teachings which were compiled by H.H. Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche. It’s such a masterpiece. He made the lamrim teachings very easy to understand and relevant to people of this era. Only who really masters a subject inside out will be able to do that.

Thanks for the sharing. H.H. Kyabje Pabongka Dorje Chang is one of the great Gelug masters that I respected most. I haven’t read much about his other activities but just by reading his Lamrim, it’s more than enough for anyone who is sincere in learning Dharma to immediately admire and respect his work. It’s been compiled and written so well that even modern practitioners can relate to easily. And the incredible part is, every time I read the holy Lam Rim, I always find it becoming more profound and wanting to learn more.

This is a detailed and encompassing write up about one of the most amazing erudite lama, Pabongka Rinpoche, known in the recent Gelug school of Buddhism. The Lamrim we are studying today is the recorded and edited text of Pabongka Rinpoche’s infamous 24-day teaching given in 1921. It remains as the pivotal text within the Gelug lineage as the practical step-by-step guide to Buddhahood. Pabongka Rinpoche is also the master of the modern Vajrayogini teachings, a combination of Vajrayogini and Heruka practice, which weaved together Sakya Vajrayogini teachings with the techniques that Tsongkhapa had given for the Heruka practice. This is to ensure that the Vajrayogini lineage remains authentic, pure and unbroken since the Buddha’s time.

Hi, I have some ribu blessed by Kyabje Pabongka Rinpoche and Ghesha Demo Rinpoche. These belonged to my Grand father who used to belong to an aristocratic family back in Lhasa. I have decided to sell them due to reasons of my own. There are many auctioneer who wants them but i want this to fall into the hands of someone who will treasure them. O, King of Dharma Masters, Great Pabongka Rinpoche, to you I prostrate.

You, who showed us , by your own example, to live the Dharma as you taught and practiced it, to you I prostrate.

You , who taught the lineage teachings in the same careful way that your illustrious root guru, Dagpo Lama Rinpoche, taught you – to teach the gifted disciple until the knowledge transmitted became the student’s second nature – to you great lineage teacher, I prostrate.

You, who could teach both scholar monks and laypeople, and bring the complex ancient teachings of the Lord Buddha to both their levels of comprehension, to you great teacher I prostrate.

You, who could teach and leave a profound and immediate effect on your listeners, to you great teacher, I prostrate.

You, who brought together the whole Ganden Lineage (including the precious Oral Lineage), who practiced it in its entirety, and who realized it to its completion, to you I prostrate.

You, who transmitted, with great care(as one vessel to another), the whole Ganden Lineage(including the precious Oral Lineage) to your most worthy heart disciple(to ensure its continuity), to you I prostrate.

O most precious Master, who showed, by your own example, how one can plumb the depths and scale the heights of Guru Devotion, to you I prostrate.

May Holy Dharma flourish and remain in all the worlds of the ten directions until samsara ends. May everything is auspicious. May all suffering quickly cease. May all beings are released swiftly from their bounds, swiftly like a fastest wind and joyfully like a Holy Heart of the kindest Lama.
May the waves of blessings of Dechen Nyingpo pervade all the worlds of samsara and nirvana.

My Lama said lineage is very important because it carries the blessings from enlightened masters all the way back to Sage Sakyamuni. The instructions we receive from lineage masters are the methods which they have followed to attain enlightenment . Hence the teachings not only carry the seal of authenticity, it is also an affirmation of their power and effectiveness to bestow enlightened knowledge and attainments. This is the basis of our faith.

Oh Holy Master, source of all good for us pitiful beings in samsara, merely glancing at your countenance gives us the blessings of all the Buddhas of the Three Times and Ten Directions.

Oh Lord of Bliss, always take care of us, until the end of samsara.

In order to save all our beloved sentient beings from pain, please bless us that we practice the teachings of Lord Tsongkhapa and remain always faithful to his holy lineage, and attain the highest goal in the swiftest possible time.
