Prayer of Shambhala was written by Lobsang Palden Yeshe, the sixth (or third) Panchen Lama, concerning the Buddhist kingdom of Shambhala, importance to developing understanding of the Kalachakra (“Wheel of Time”) tantric teachings.

Though the 9th Panchen Lama had to flee to Inner Mongolia to escape the wrath of the 13th Dalai Lama after a dispute, he still continued to work to bring Tibet into the 20th century.

And, though it is unfortunate that the tombs of the 5th to th 9th Panchen Lamas were destroyed, the line of the Panchen Lama is still in China spreading the dharma to benefit more people.

To attained and compassionate beings like the Panchen Lam, it the dharma that is of utmost importance.
