I wonder how did the Dalai Lama feel when the Karmapa announced he has a Dominican passport and will not travel back to India with the IC issued by India. The Dalai Lama and the CTA have spent so much energy and time to groom and try to control the Karmapa, but he still managed to 'escape' from them like how he escaped from China.

Will China approach the Karmapa to let him go back to Tibet to spread Dharma? The Karmapa is not a very political person, China might want him to fulfill his role as a spiritual head in China to give pure Dharma in Tibetans which will result in peace and harmony. If that happens, China will have 2 of the most influential Tibetan lamas on their side.

The Karmapa was supposed to be the successor of the Dalai Lama to command the Tibetans and be the next marketing tool for the CTA to make money. Now that he is gone, how is the CTA going to survive? No one in the CTA has the charisma like the Dalai Lama or the Karmapa to command people. The CTA's position is quite shaky now.

Karmapa is smart to have acquired a new passport instead of having to rely on the cheap travel document from India that in fact is a noose to control him. No wonder CTA and India are so pissed off because they have lost another influential figure that can be used or manipulated to their own benefits. The current Karmapa is someone who does not like to get involved with politics and he has been expressing his wishes to have a good education and spread Dharma which is what he is supposed to be doing.

Since his movement is being restricted by CTA, he is unable to do get good and complete education because his teachers are far away from him. This made him very depressed which drove him to escape from India and prolonged his stay overseas. Now that he had taken up Dominican passport, he has expressed the wish to prolong his stay even more and it is clear defiance to CTA.

CTA is such an unpleasant body to be associated with. No one ever talks good about them and everything that they do will be of selfish reasons or only benefits them. There is nothing good that they have done for Tibet or Tibetans. Everything is being pushed to His Holiness the Dalai Lama to carry out and CTA does nothing and collects donations from around the world.

Even though we are in the 21st century now, the CTA is still following the old culture of how they ruled in the old Tibet. The Tibetan leadership since the old time is to exploit their own people and benefit themselves. They cover up each other, and they are not afraid to do harm to those who are against them. Look at how Lobsang Sangay can get away with all the bad things he has done. As a leadership, the CTA is very inefficient and incapable.

It is never good to associate with the CTA or anything related to the free Tibet movement. As China is getting stronger economically, everyone wants to tag along with China to get some benefits. For those who are seen to be pro-CTA, they will be penalised such as not being able to do business in China.

Therefore, being friendly with the CTA does not bring any benefits. The CTA doesn't have anything to give but only take. They are only interested in getting more money from the sponsors. Those who want to be close to the CTA are only making use of the CTA to agitate China. For the money, the CTA is quite happy to be a political tool.

Of course the CTA is not happy that the Karmapa has opted to become the citizen of Dominica Republic. They have spent so much time and effort to groom the Karmapa and now he just said 'goodbye' to the CTA. This is a very clear message to tell the CTA that not everyone is driven by the money and power.

The Indian government is not happy with the Karmapa because they feel humiliated. The Indian government has provided the shelter to the Karmapa but the Karmapa has taken India for granted. Instead of becoming the citizen of India, the Karmapa took the citizenship of another country. Is the Karmapa implying that India is the second best? The Indian government is very upset because they feel they are used.

Not just the Karmapa, I think most Tibetans are taking India for granted. They have been using India for the last 60 years, they only take but never give back. They don't even show gratitude when the Indian government offered them citizenship.

In the end, the Karmapa did not go back to India. Actually, who will be so stupid to go back to India? He must have planned it long ago to run away from the CTA, he would not go back to be controlled by them again. The CTA just wants to use him to fulfill their political agenda.

Trying to avoid all the gossips and being questioned by the public, the Karmapa is now in a retreat. He did not respond more to his failure to return to India and he has not responded to the sex scandal at all. It is best not to say more to avoid more unnecessary discussion.

It is time for the CTA to know their karma is now coming back at them. The Dalai Lama is old, the lama they have groomed to take over the Dalai Lama has run away, more negative news about the CTA are exposed in the media. More people are losing confidence in the CTA. The CTA will collapse very soon.

Tibetan leadership totally had it coming in their way this time. It is their bad karma manifesting on them right now. They have created the 2 Karmapa situation by recognizing Karmapa Ogyen Trinley despite knowing that Sharmapa had already recognized the Karmapa. They know very well that it is Sharmapa's authoritative to recognize the Karmapa and they have totally no power over the recognition of the Karmapa.

However, they use His Holiness's fame and exposure to trick the public into believing that the Karmapa that they recognize is the real one. They have created this 2 Karmapa situation which caused a rift in the Karma Kagyu sect. On top of that, the Tibetan leadership has been hoping to use the Karmapa as the successor to His Holiness the Dalai Lama so that they are able to retain the control over the Tibetans in Exile.

Now that Karmapa is rebelling against them, whatever evil schemes that they have been plotting for so long will be down the drain. When His Holiness the Dalai Lama passed away, there will have no one to command over the Tibetans and they will lose their grip on the Tibetans once and for all.

The CTA has its own agenda when they recognised the Karmapa Ogyen Trinley. In fact, they don't have the authority to do so because it is a religious matter that is managed independently by each tradition. Just like the Dalai Lama or any Gelug lineage reincarnate lamas, they don't need the recognition from the CTA or a lama of another tradition.

The CTA is doing it for political reasons. Everyone knows the CTA needs to have a successor to take over the responsibility of the Dalai Lama to generate money for them and to command people. The Karmapa Ogyen Trinley became the most suitable one because is a very famous lama with many followers. The CTA wanted to groom the Karmapa to become their political puppet.

However, if we look at the tradition, the Karmapa has never been involved in politics. He has always been a Dharma teacher. It will be hard to make him a political figure. He has expressed his frustrations of not being able to carry out his duty as a Dharma teacher before.

To Karmapa, it is more important to spread Dharma than to be politically correct. He doesn't really care if India and CTA are going to be happy with him, he just wants to leave India and do what he has to do. He may have angered the CTA and the Indian government but at least he can fulfill his mission to spread and teach Dharma.

The Indian government did not like it when the Karmapa Ogyen Trinley did not inform the Indian government of his intention to give up the RC card to become a citizen of the Republic of Dominica. They think the Karmapa is ungrateful not because of his choice. It was mainly because the Indian government has actually given the Karmapa some favours before he flew to the US and they felt betrayed.

Before the Karmapa went to the US, the Indian government has allowed the Karmapa to visit Arunachal Pradesh and Sikkim, except Rumtek monastery. They issued him the visa to visit US for a short period of time. However, the Karmapa did not come back to India within the given time period and kept giving excuses to avoid going back. What made the Indian government even more upset is his plan to take on the citizenship of the Republic of Dominica and he didn't inform the Indian government.

I can understand why the Karmapa did that. He has always wanted to travel so he can meet his international students and give them Dharma teachings. Living in Dharamsala and be controlled by the CTA were not something very pleasant for the Karmapa. He had to do this in order to escape from the CTA. I believe he does not disrespect the Indian government, but the CTA has left him no choice but to do this.

I feel relieved for the Karmapa and rejoice for his action to escape from the CTA control. His decision to leave India and look for his own independent really tells a lot of how bad he’s being controlled and I believe it’s enough for him to keep being a puppet and unable to exercise his true spiritual practice.

On the other hand, the Indian government feels Karmapa is ungrateful but they have to understand the situation want what Karmapa has been going through. Leaving India is just a matter of time. As long as it's still controlled by CTA in India many Tibetan especially the young one will definitely look for better opportunity instead of wasting their time with CTA which only give empty promising and never look after their welfare and needs.

India until now is still being influenced by the Tibetan government and that is why India is now no longer recognised Karmapa Ogyen Trinley as the 17th Karmapa. Karmapa was being controlled by the CTA when he was still in India, and he does not have any freedom at all. He can't even get the proper education that the Karmapa should have to carry out his religious duties.

Without knowledge and freedom, the Karmapa is not doing his job to lead the Karma Kagyu people. This is precisely what the CTA wants. They want a puppet that is famous but controllable so that he can do their bidding for them.

Too bad their plans failed, and Karmapa manage to escape to the US. However, I heard that Karmapa is thinking about going back to India and I wish that the news is fake. If the Karmapa enter into India's border, I am sure the Tibetan government will regain control on him again because there are a lot of court cases created by the CTA to control him. Karmapa is better off in foreign countries because it has proven that he is more productive outside of India.
