I must admit that HHDL is charismatic and seeing him in his private space does give me a closer connection to him. Hearing him admit that he was wrong in his approach in handling the Tibet issue with China was indeed humbling as for a long time he was ridiculed for the Tibet issue. Personally, I have full respect for HHDL but the Ban just puts a damper on the whole picture. How can the emanation of Buddha of Compassion allow people to be ostracized and even be killed over a spiritual practice? It just does not make sense unless of course HHDL takes compassion to a different, skillful manner. Nonetheless, putting a Ban which has caused many to suffer is no different than how Chinese have imprisoned Tibetians. HHDL's comments about the Chinese can also be said of himself and the CTA.
