No one really knows the true motive of the ban, the Dalai Lama has given flimsy excuses for it. The truth will only be known to the Dalai Lama himself. In the meantime, a lot of people will have to break their commitments and lifetime entrustments given by their lama. They are caught in the middle and can do no right. At least, the works of these great Tibetan lamas like Gangchen Rinpoche have made inroads and done a lot of good to help the Tibetans still in Tibet, With the "crack in the door' allowing the Tibetans to practice their religion openly and having big ceremonies are benefiting the people. Why grudge them that little bit of salve in this samsara? Thank you for sharing this. Glad I came across this article. I like how they've interpreted the situation in China, and it does have truth in it, the Shugden lamas are in good terms with the Chinese, so what more is there to say? Tibetan has been trying to get back to their homeland for decades now, they've tried everything they could except for trying to be in good terms with China, I think it is about time they try something new. It is entirely true what you are saying and I support it. If one method doesn't work, then try another way! And these brave lamas are certainly doing that.
