It sounded very logical to me then and I thought I had no need to engage in Protector practice let alone a practice that is so controversial such as the Dorje Shugden practice. However, as I walked the path, I realised the necessity of the Practice because every moment we create negative karma. Even doing neutral actions will create causes for less fortunate rebirth as they do not result in merits that propel us for rebirth in the higher realms. As a student of the Gelug lineage Dorje Shugden is the supreme practice. Practice it with faith and diligence will definitely give us the results that will provide the conducive conditions for our spiritual life.
