As I read this sentence, my mirth arose. What?? The enlightened 5th and 13th Dalai Lama can be influenced by spirits? Huh?? Why is the 14th Dalai Lama reducing his previous incarnations to the lowly level of unattained human. As such why are we the ignorant beings even bothering to learn and practise if such attained beings are considered unattained. Oh dear, I am shocked into babbling. The 14th Dalai Lama is the same mind stream incarnation of the 5th and 13th Dalai Lama. He had been practising Dorje Shugden for the first part of his life and had been saved/helped by Dorje Shugden many many times through the Oracle and through attained Lamas who practised Dorje Shugden. Suddenly he "gained" the enlightened mind to realise that Dorje Shugden is a "Spirit" with evil influence? Well, if he did manage to gain enlightenment in this life, its all due to the practises given to him through his Senior Tutor, HH Kyabje Ling Rinpoche and Junior Tutor, HH Kyabje Trijang Rinpoche, who were strong propitiators and practitioners of Dorje Shugden. Attainments come from Guru devotion/samaya and with his turning against Dorje Shugden he effectively turned against his own Gurus. Yet, the 14th Dalai Lama is still giving teachings on compassion and initiations on High Tantric practises of Cittamani Tara, which was transmitted to him by his Gurus. I wonder how does one expect to achieve any attainments without the blessings of the lineage Gurus. We believed the 14th Dalai Lama to be Avalokitesvara the Buddha of Compassion and yet he unleashed the wave of terrible sufferings on his own people, created schism and sectarianism within the monastic communities, rendering doubts in practitioners' minds and probably preventing new practitioners from gaining faith in their practises. With folded hands, I truly request the Dalai Lama to please help us prevent further negative karma arising, by lifting the ban on Dorje Shugden practise. He may be enlightened with no possibility of karma but we are not and our every action creates karma. The more I read about this the more I get confused. I thought Dalai Lama is supposed to be Avalokestevra who is supposed to feel Compassion for people but instead has churned up a whole lot of sufferings for Dorje Shugden practitioners through his Government and his followers. From what I understand and see Dorje Shugden practitioners suffer so much and those who follow the Dalai Lama benefits. This is not fair.
