Now, I learned that we should never do that but instead get help for the spirit to be reborn in a better place. I guess it would be hard to be kind to the spirits that haunt the place, especially those who cause so much fear and havoc, but if we apply our Buddhist teachings, we would undertand the sufferings that spirits have due to their attachment and fear.
