I had been introduced to Dorje Shugden for quite some time already but all this while, I had never believed in Buddhism so even though I was given the Protector’s mantra I did not do my practice seriously. I only chanted the mantra when I remembered or when I needed help.

That is, until one incident totally changed my mind about Buddhism and the Dharma protector.

My grandmother is an 82-year-old lady. Generally, she is very healthy, can walk and run, and doesn’t suffer any illnesses. The only problem is that she has Alzheimers and keeps forgetting things. Most of the time, she doesn’t know what she’s doing, she eats raw food from the fridge, she almost started a fire once while trying to light incense; she has even fallen a few times while trying to climb up somewhere to hide things. Yes, she has a habit of hiding things and then accusing others of stealing her things later when she can’t find them.

As each person in the family had their own busy working schedules, my grandmother was often alone at home. Eventually, after much consideration, we decided to admit her into a nursing home where there would be professionals to take care of her all the time.

After she moved into the nursing home, my mum continued to send her breakfast every morning before going to work. On the fifth day after checking her into the home, my mum went as usual to deliver breakfast. When she arrived, she saw the nurses looking very worried and talking among themselves. They told her that my grandmother had run away! Her roommate said she had packed her bags early in the morning. As the nurse was busy preparing breakfast and washing the other patients, she threw her bag across the gate, climbed over the gate and ran off, gosh… it was like something from a movie!

I really didn’t know what to do, so I prayed very sincerely to Dorje Shugden, wishing that grandma would come home safely.

My mother panicked and started calling all her brothers and sisters to start searching for grandma. We drove around the streets for almost three hours looking for her but couldn’t find her anywhere. I really didn’t know what to do, so I prayed very sincerely to Dorje Shugden, wishing that grandma would come home safely.

Not long after I did the prayers, surprisingly, a taxi driver sent my grandma home. After a brief conversation, we heard from him that there was a lady who stopped the taxi driver and asked him to send my grandma home. Who was this lady and how did she know our house address? Until today, this is still a mystery to me. But, after all this, my grandma came home! She lost some money but more importantly, she came home safe and unharmed.

Dear Sir/Madam:

My name is Cedric Woon, living in Melbourne Australia. The reason I am writing in is that I have a story to share that happened to me years ago. As I come across this incredible moment in my life that still remains mystery until today.

Back in 2004, my mum was suffered from cancer and she was hospitalized for check up. I dislike the smell of hospital nor do I like to see my mum laying on the sick bed suffering. She was in a lot of pain, and it traumatized her physically and emotionally. I felt she was on the verge of giving up her life as it was too much pain for her to endure.

Our family is not religious in any way and my mum is a Christian. However, next to her bed, there was this kind lady from Hong Kong that soon became friend and she shared her story with us. She told us that she used to have spirit disturbances since young. Not exactly the nicest place to talk about spirits and ghosts, but what else to do right.

Then she mentioned that she seek help from all kinds of masters, mediums, temples and churches and the problem is still there. Not until one of her friend introduced to recite a mantra. Slowly, she experienced less and less encounters with the entity.

Strangely, not only that she was also suffered from endometrial cancer; but she recovered so fast that the doctor also couldn’t explain why. So she told my mum to give it a try and it might work.

I half believed her but my mum seemed to be drawn to her method. So for days, my mum was reciting the mantra. Strange things begin to happen. My mum’s condition had gone better, not only that her mood is better, looked better and became more positive. She is fully recovered now! Not long after, my sister picked up the mantra and my whole family was reciting it.

Then I went into more in depth research on this particular deity and his name is Dorje Shugden and I realized that he is nothing but a Buddha! I read more and found out more information of the ban. I am very concerned as simple as it sounds, Dorje Shugden has helped my family in every way. What written was just a small part of it. He can’t be bad. And definitely he is not harming us in any way.

I am very sad to find out about the ban. Therefore I would like to write in to share my experiences and I am sure many are like me who have had good experiences with Dorje Shugden.

Regards,
