If there was no ban then why is the section still there? Why is there not sections on Christianity, muslim or Hinduism? After all Buddhist should practice those too right? Why only differentiate against Dorje Shugden and his practice? And here I thought that Buddhism cuts across religion with compassion for all. Why can't the Dalai Lama just accept our difference and all the more he should allow in to his teachings as we are wayward as he said and need his compassion in learning and practice. And now that he wishes to return to China, won't it be more logical to lift the ban on Dorje Shugden and befriend DS Lamas and practitioners as they have more clout with the Chinese authorities. These DS Lamas and practitioners had spread Buddhism to China without hang ups other than acknowledging that everyone is equal in need for relief from sufferings. As such the Chinese Government works with them very well, such as the Panchen Lama, whom the government welcomes his teachings and so hundreds of thousands attend with reverence. Please Dalai Lama, lift the ban as so many DS Lamas and practitioners still cares for you irregardless.
