The Dalai Lama's Lineage of running away when there's trouble!
« on: September 27, 2018, 08:45:36 PM »
There is one constant when it comes to the lineage of all the Dalai Lamas.
When Tibet and it people are in danger the Dalai Lama in all his incarnations runs away to another country.
The 5th, 13th and the present 14th Dalai Lama have a history of fleeing Tibet.
The Dalai Lamas always save their asses but leave their followers behind in Tibet to face their troubles LEADERLESS.
This is their leader a man who will not stand and fight for his people or his Tibet.
A leader who has done this over and over again through many lifetimes.

But strangely the Tibetans still followed him full of faith and treat him like a god. He is indeed Tibet's god. No one can influence the Tibetans like how the Dalai Lama can. Whoever that disagree with His Holiness will be labelled as Chinese spy or traitor.

I wonder now since the Dalai Lama is manifesting mistakes in his actions and speech, how the Tibetans will react? Will, they still follow him faithfully or start to doubt his abilities? Nevertheless, the progress for either way will take some time because he is after all the Dalai Lama.

Will they still follow him all the way back to Tibet if the Chinese Government allows him to return?

I think that the Tibetans will definitely follow where His Holiness will go. If His Holiness returns to Tibet under China, the Tibetans will follow. At least the older generation that escaped to Indian with His Holiness will follow.

Those who had assimilated into Indian society or overseas will definitely not coming back because most of them do not grow up in Tibet and hence they don't have the emotional link to want to go back to Tibet. They will not give up what they had accomplished and start all over again in Tibet.

It will be a very interesting turn if His Holiness really got invited to go to Beijing. Finally, there will be a light in the 60years of dark ages for Tibetans.

It would be definitely an interesting turn of events to watch. I do agree that many of the older generation Tibetans would follow because many would want to reunite with their families in Tibet. Actually, they are dying to return, but they just do not want to be under China's control and even more important is for the Dalai Lama to be China's political prisoner. But if the Dalai Lama can persuade them to make friends and take advantage of what China has to offer, then they might out of loyalty follow and I am sure they would also want to follow to protect the Dalai Lama.

I think it is only natural when one is in danger, especially if one is a dharma repository to escape and avoid conflict that could particularly harm one's life.

Running away so one can engage in the Buddha Dharma for a longer time is a good thing.

True. The situation in 1959 and beyond was dangerous to the life of the Tibetans even in the monasteries and many terrible things did happen.

But I believe and can see that much progress has been done in China and they want to have peace in Tibet. Yet, the Chinese have their own rules and this is what needs to be respected if not you get into trouble - that's for sure.

So therefore, if you want to benefits that China has to offer, you need to follow their rules too. That's only fair, isn't it. See what infrastructure was built in Tibet, the possibilities open for everyone... times have changed for the better, don't you agree?

Yeah, though China really needs to be fair with the Muslim minorities they are persecuting.  Shugdenpas aren't the only ones that need to have their discrimination resolved.

Yeah, though China really needs to be fair with the Muslim minorities they are persecuting.

China does not persecute Muslim minorities, or any minorities at all to that effect. You are just parroting Western propaganda tailored to distract from the atrocities perpetrated by the West worldwide, specially against Muslims.

What China rightly does is simply to keep in check Saudi Arabia-sponsored and Western-supported Islamic State jihadists perpetrating terrorist attacks throughout China and hell bent on implanting an Islamic Caliphate in Xinjiang.

Meanwhile, US, Israel, and Saudi Arabia relentlessly bomb and have killed millions of innocent civilian Muslims in Afghanistan, Yemen, Syria, and so forth, while sponsoring, arming and training Islamic State and Al Qaeda terrorists.

The discrimination against Shugdenpas has always happened in the West, never in China. The West and brainwashed Westerners parroting imbecilities propagated by Western media have to do their homework, not China.

As a rule of thumb, the Jewish-Christian-Muslim world is the source of all hatred, discrimination, and religious persecution just because of its evil, monomaniac, psychopathic Abrahamic roots, whose most essential tenet is the destruction of anyone rejecting the evil spirit they call Jehovah, God or Allah.

Yes it would be interesting if the Dalai Lama does go back. Certainly would like to see what kind of concession each side made in agreement for his return. And also to see if that Lobsang Sangay & CTA will be able to step into China. Maybe they let him in then find some way to lock him up ah.... Anyway, it will be the end of CTA as we know it.

1 thing is for sure that CTA will be silenced forever. China is not like India where you can set up another government inside their country. Tibetans had certainly taken it for granted of all the freedom that India gave them. A refugee owning a house, car and even travel document is totally unheard of in the entire world. India certainly treated them as citizens but Tibetans refused to assimilate into their country. Even though India made it quite easy for them to be converted into Indian citizens, they refused to convert. Im hoping for His Holiness to make his way back to Tibet and then Tibetans will have a real home instead of being a refugee in India.
