The richest part about this is not only did he just spit in the face of thousands of people. He basically admitted to the ban, the religious persecution and the fact that he is forcing thousands of people into a life of discrimination by others and he basically confessed that he is causing many people to be hurt and he is meant to be wise but this statement is extremely closed minded and more like a threat for a worldwide symbol of peace.
I have tremendous respect for the Dalai Lama but this statement is cruel, threatening and sloppy by him because he is confessing and saying that there is a ban and that he claimed that there was not one. So that means people will ask questions and the truth will get out about the cruelty and the treats he is making by this statement. So basically this statement is showing that his ban exists and that he was lying about it, being cruel to many people and that he is threatening and a discriminator to people which in the Dharma should be so cruelly done. But don't jump to conclusions because out of my respect for him as a teacher, I say that this post could be fake or there is more to the story than meets the eye because there is no way he would say something like this without meaning.
