The definition on the view of Emptiness is the core difference between the Gelug and the other schools. and for that matter all schools Buddhism. However the differences can be subtle.  However, only the Masters and highly attained Lama are qualified to comment on this.

Buddha Shakyamuni have taught 84000 paths to enlightenment and who is to say the view of the other schools are not correct except the masters. However, from historical records as highlighted in the article and other writings all over the internet, we find many records of criticisms of other schools' path as not being the correct path or view of emptiness. Some even say Lama Tsongkhapa's vision of Manjushri is of the a devil. This to me is a red flag of the commentator; for it is hard to believe someone criticizing others based on their own view alone and the criticism should be disregarded because of this. As Buddha Shakyamuni has taught; the proofs is in the results and from this we have no doubt of Lama Tsongkhapa's teachings since His teachings have benefited many and many great Masters have achieved attainments from His path.

The practices of Buddhism is from the side of the practitioners and from their aptitude. From this aptitude his affinity and merits to practice whichever path will bring results albeit sometime not to full enlightenment. That is unfortunately the merits of sentient beings. Most importantly one practice the path according to one's pure lineage. Thats is the key.
