Title: Dalai Lama's Closest Allies Damage Him the Most
Post by: pemachen on April 13, 2018, 11:05:39 PM
There seems to be a growing trend of people close to the Dalai Lama that are the very ones responsible for effectively destroying the spiritual leader’s reputation.

Tenzin Dhonden made the Dalai Lama's name synonymous with a notorious sex cult.  Now we find out that Robert Thurman, “the Dalai Lama’s man in America” openly solicits illegal hacking service to take revenge against Dorje Shugden practitioners for embarrassing the Dalai Lama by holding peaceful protests during the Dalai Lama's tour of the US.

Thurman is a very dangerous man, and his malicious intent to incite hatred and harm towards Dorje Shugden practitioners is clear in the #LamaGate incident. Thurman should not be allowed to represent the Dalai Lama. In fact, such a bitter, vengeful lawbreaker definitely should not be allowed to represent Tibetan Buddhism in any way. After all, someone who renounced his monastic vows because he was desirous to marry a second wife is definitely not a good representation of the sanctity of Tibetan Buddhism.

It's really sad that after 60 years of hard work on the Dalai Lama's side to promote Tibet Cause and Tibetan Buddhism around the world, his name and reputation should be destroyed by the very persons who are closest to him. But it is good that these things came to light so these people cannot hide behind the Dalai Lama's back and carry on with their evil conduct.

This is just so sad. The people who are supposed to protect and help His Holiness the Dalai Lama ended up damaging him the most. If people think Sogyal Rinpoche's case is bad, they haven't met Tenzin Dhonden. Now His Holiness is being publicised as endorsing sex cults  >:( !!!!!

He's not dangerous... He is VERY STUPID! Who would go on to a public platform like Twitter to solicit hackers? Only a nincompoop like him would! Good that this @IndyHack busted him! He deserves it and yes definite a malicious EVIL person trying to attack Shugden practitioners. Just proves what we've been saying all the while... THERE IS A BAN!

Urgh, this Thurman disgusts me, goes around pretending to be holy and all goodie but in reality, a real scum! He should be taken to court and sued his pants off and shut his Tibet House down. Dalai Lama is surrounded by such hypocrites and criminals, it is no wonder he will never be able to return to Tibet. They are going to bury or burn down his legacy with all these kind of criminal actions! SAD.

To imagine that such people as Thurman do represent the Dalai Lama is truly incredible. Someone who is engaging hackers against other Buddhists, who practice their religion, is putting the Dalai Lama down.

Even though Thurman is a professor and has written Dharma books, he ashames the Dalai Lama like this!?! Is this what he learned about religious freedom in the US?  :o :o

Tenzin Dhonden and Robert Thurman are two stupid persons who are blinded by their desire, greed, lust, and ager. The former dragged the Dalai Lama into endorsing a notorious sex cult, while the latter openly commit cybercrime in front of the public eyes. Both of them make the Dalai Lama incapable, unskillful and uninspirational.

Thurman is actually a very angry old man, who had spent his life conducting anti-dharma activities, blinded with hate and anger, he maliciously advocates hate and harms Dorje Shugden practitioners openly solicit hackers, breaching the US Federal law, to hack Twitter users accounts. Embarrassingly, his US$17,000 offers for the job was rationally declined by Anonymous, reminding him that they are not his personal army.

Thurman is a very bad representation of the Dalai Lama and Buddhism as a whole. He made the Dalai Lama's followers have nothing but wrong views and wrong interpretations of Guru Devotion and dharma practice. Pairing with this he "binned his maroon robe" under a year and married ex-wife of Timothy Leary, the "guru of psychedelic druggery". You would wonder what has he learned and practiced in the year as a monk to make such a decision.

Makes me wonder if most of Dalai Lama devoted followers are like this - notorious criminals. Probably and the biggest would be that Sangay fake wanna Tibetan President. As for Mr Thurman, he really should go get plastic surgery for the amount of bad reputation he's given the Dalai Lama through his horrible actions, he should be horribly ashamed to be walking around. How does he deal with looking at himself in the mirror every morning I wonder?!

Why?
Because he let's it happen.
Scandals are swept under the carpet, crime tolerated and buddies protected.

Look here - Tenzin Dhonden and Kaydor Aukatsang both of whom who have been reported in scandals, are Trustees in the Dalai Lama Foundation.

How convenient and notice that all of them are males.

Not only Dalai Lama's Foundation, Dalai Lama's office is equally corrupted. Just recently Dagri Rinpoche from the Dalai Lama's office was caught molesting woman on plane. And because of this, a few women actually came forward to tell their own tragic experiences with Dagri and how they struggle to overcome this until today. Apparently the Dalai Lama office knows yet they did nothing. It's the same everywhere when it involves the Dalai Lama's own people. Make me wonder if the Dalai Lama himself has anything to hide too?

It is unfortunate that many of the close personnel of His Holiness the Dalai Lama are people that do not represent His Holiness or Buddhism well. Their actions bring shame to the Dalai Lama's name and I wonder why His Holiness allows people like them to be around him. What is CTA doing since they are the one that supposed to be assisting His Holiness?

Did CTA do a thorough background check on anybody who wanted to get close to His Holiness? Are they willing to risk His Holiness's life and name that way? Seems like those who have the ability to influence His Holiness the Dalai Lama's appearance is selling His Holiness's attendance for their own selfish needs. The reason why the Dalai Lama is being linked to that sex cult is that Tenzin Dhonden is being bribed to set up a meeting between the cult's leader with Dalai Lama.

It was said that the person who set up the meeting was given a "donation" of millions. Hence, we can see what kind of person that is surrounding His Holiness who is actually harmful to him. CTA should do a better job in choosing the peaple that holds such important roles around His Holiness to protect His Holiness.

It does makes one wonder, doesn't it? However, often times when the person is in an exalted position, all sorts of people would try to get near and most times those who succeed will be those who are the most devious. Of course, then to stay in that close position will take a lot of maintenance to remain there. This reminds me of the story of how Dorje Shugden came about. How the ministers of the 5th Dalai Lama killed Tulku Dragpa Gyeltsen so that his master will remain in power which means he remain in power. Could it be that the 5th Dalai Lama is guilty too as he had allowed his staff to do such? Even when knowing of the deed, the 5th Dalai Lama did not punish the minister but instead, he continued in his position. What does that say or show?

Or perhaps the 5th Dalai Lama purposely allowed that to happen in order for Tulku Dragpa to arise as the protector of our times which is the great Dorje Shugden! As to why he did not punish the evil Desi who killed TDG... I think out of compassion since he is supposed to be Avalokiteshvara - Buddha of Compassion can probably see where he is headin when he dies which will in the deep hells of uninterrupted pain. So why bother torturing him in this human life when he has already accumulated a massive amount of negative karma.

Well, looks like samsara is everywhere isn't it? And the biggest is always in those places we least expect like the Dalai Lama's office/entourage. It is always those who have authority and in power that abuses it.

When Dagri Rinpoche was at the police station, he told them his address is in Dharamsala, kind of hinting the police he has a relationship with the Dalai Lama. He was hoping he could get away from it. Unfortunately, he failed. The Dalai Lama is not above all.

Similar to Sogyal Rinpoche's sex scandal, the Dalai Lama is also keeping quiet. It has been a while, no announcement or any statement made for the CTA or the Dalai Lama's office. It also took a long time for FPMT to make an announcement on Dagri Rinpoche even but the statement is very disappointing.

Why is the Tibetan authority so irresponsible? All they care about is their reputation and face. They never admit their wrongdoings and then look for a solution to solve the problem and move on. With an attitude and mentality like this, it is not surprising that Tibetan leadership is a failure.

It was said that Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen and the 5th Dalai Lama were very close as they are Dharma brothers. I believe it is a divine play where the 5th Dalai Lama creating the causes for Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen to arise as a Dharma Protector. After all, he is Buddha of Compassion, Chenrezig.

Without the necessary condition, Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen cannot arise as a Dharma protector. Hence, the assassination must go on for this purpose. However, that does not mean the ministers are guilt free. They are still guilty because they themselves chose to assassinate a holy being.

Because of the incident, we have a supreme protector that guards Lama Tsongkhapa's special teaching. The wisdom of the Buddhas is incomprehensible for beings like us since we lack wisdom. All we can do is to have faith and trust in the Buddhas and our Guru.

This is true... they must have had that kind of karma to commit that kind of crime in the first place. How unfortunate for them because the karmic repercussion must be very heavy. I cannot imagine where they are at the moment.

How sad to see all these happening around the Dalai Lama. Whatever he has developed just tarnish by the people around him. But looking at another angle, why Dalai Lama didn’t say anything at all? His silent is like an approval for them to do so. Why for Dorje Shugden practitioners which didn’t harm anyone, but being targeted, ostracised and discriminated but for those people around him that directly hurting people and bringing down his reputation and the value of Buddhism are being protected?

Which is more harmful here and why Tibetan still can see this? Why they still blindly follow which proven it doesn't work. Look at how Tibetan lost their country, look at how CTA never bring any positive progress after 60 years in India, look at how CTA encourage self-immolation that purely used Tibetan to sacrifices for their own benefit. Why Tibetan leadership didn't look back into this fundamental needs and set priority to improve the condition for their people here instead the people just keep bringing problem to the Dalai Lama.

In my opinion, the Dalai Lama has to take some responsibility also. He probably has been covering people up over the years and these people think the Dalai Lama will continue to do that for them. If the Dalai Lama does something different, ie to openly condemn the behaviour of these criminals, no one will dare to use his name anymore.

The Dalai Lama is not above the law, he has to follow the rules as well. Just because he is a reincarnated lama, it does not mean he can do anything that he wants and everyone has to give way to him. It might be the case in the old Tibet but in the modern world, everyone has to abide by the law.

The reason the Tibetan leadership fails in so many things is that they still have the mentality of the older days, thinking they are above all. Even though they say they are democratic but they don't really understand what it means. There is still favouritism and nepotism in the Tibetan leadership.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama should say something about the people around him that is using his name to do bad things. His Holiness's influence is very strong and powerful and sometimes, it can be used in an inappropriate way by bad disciples. Sogyal and Dagri are examples of bad disciples who used Dalai Lama's name to escape from the law.

Sogyal and Dagri both committed sexual abuse offence on their student and both of them tried to use His Holiness's name to avoid the persecution of the law. However, Dagri failed and got arrested in the end. He is now having a trial in the Indian court.

His Holiness should be very stern with people who tried to use his name inappropriately. It may cause unimaginable damage to people who had faith in the supreme leader of peace. When Dagri's actions are exposed, many Buddhist and students will be affected by his actions negatively. Hence, His Holiness should do something about it to prevent future similar cases from happening again.

You are right! The law applied should come from the highest and then only uniformity will follow through in the law applied to all. The leaders have the responsibility to look out for and squash any negative actions immediately so that it does not develop as an acceptable example for others to follow. The Dalai Lama always says that he had already known of the sexual allegations years and years before but he had never ever made the move to cut off this wrongness from affecting his people, the Tibetans and Tibetan Buddhist practitioners. It is really shameful and a total disregard for his people.

I guess the assassinators of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen will be in Vajra Hell now for killing a holy being. This hell is the worst hot hells that anyone can go to because of it's intense suffering. The suffering here is the highest among all the hells as beings reborn in this hell will have no moment to rest from all the sufferings. Hence, it is also called the Hell of Uninterrupted Pain.

For the Dagri incident, it is a piece of very tragic news for Dagri's disciples because it will mean that all the vows that they had taken are not valid because Dagri is not qualified to give the vows to another person since he had broken a major vow.

By right, he is no longer a monk due to the broken major vow. Hence the disciples are in a very difficult position and they should consult someone who is higher in rank such as His Holiness the Dalai Lama to clear their doubt.

Robert Thurman is so arrogant and thinks that he can do whatever he wants. I guess being the "His Holiness's man in American" got to his head and he forgot that the law applies to him as well. He had done alot of illegal things such as soliciting hackers and hiring trolls online to attack his enemies.

Everyone knows that he is working for Dhardon Sharling before she left CTA and CTA is paying him to attack the Shugden people. What kind of Buddhism he is practising that is full of hate and discrimination. He has been attacking Shugden people online by calling them nasty names and vulgarities.

It is clear that Robert has nothing to say about Shugden and he resorts to using rude and nasty names to attack the Shugden people. This is the best he can do because the Dorje Shugden ban is illogical and it is not illegal to practice the religion.

We can this quite clear that the people around the Dalai Lama does damage him the most. From the assassination of Tulku Drakpa Gyeltsen until now with all sort of scandals with CTA and the people around Dalai Lama.

But I believe Dalai Lama can do something about this. If we say he's Chenrezig then sure he can do something. I'm not saying he can handle everything but sure at a very minimal level. Dalai Lama can't allow all these to keep happening to him as people will lose faith in him and as well as Buddhism.

If you say His Holiness is Buddha Chenrezig, it is impossible for him to not able to handle any issue. It is illogical to say the Buddha who has perfect wisdom and clairvoyance to not know what is going on. I believe His Holiness let everything happen because it is necessary for those events to occur in order to bring greater benefits to the world.

Dorje Shugden practice is a very popular practice now because of the Dorje Shugden ban that made it controversial. Everyone likes controversy and the ban successfully garner attention from the entire world on to Tibetan Buddhism and His Holiness. Due to the ban, many more people knows about Dorje Shugden and dharmic seeds are planted.

If there is no Dorje Shugden ban, I think Dorje Shugden practice will be known only by Buddhist and it will be just like any other protector practice out there. Tibetan Buddhism has been around for many years but not one protector practice is so well known even to non-Buddhist. Hence, this is one of the divine play that His Holiness created to spread Buddhism further. I believe due to our karma in this degenerated age, traditional methods of spreading the dharma does not work anymore. That is why special methods are needed to spread Lord Buddha's teachings.

This is so sad, such a respected man like the Dalai Lama has his reputation destroyed by people who are close to him and who he trusts. His foundation is supposed to spread Dharma and bring benefits to the public. Unfortunately, people are using the Dalai Lama's name to get something for themselves.

The people who are taking advantage of the Dalai Lama are people who have great knowledge of Buddhism. It is shameful that these people such as Robert Thurman and Tenzin Dhonden making use of Dharma to get something for themselves. They are not Buddhist practitioners.

The Dalai Lama should look into these issues and do the necessary. It is not worthy to lose the reputation of the Dalai Lama overnight because of these 2 clowns. They should be banned from getting close to the Dalai Lama.

His Holiness the Dalai Lama devoted his whole life in upholding and spreading the holy teachings of Lord Buddha Shakyamuni. However, it is his own team or closest people that actually damages his effort the most. Just like Dagri Rinpoche who recently brought to court for molesting women. Later, everyone found out that this is not his first offence and where are a lot of victims.

People like Dagri Rinpoche does not represent Buddha Dharma well and they can destroy the people's faith in Buddhism when a monk who is supposed to be the representation of Buddha Dharma acted perversely towards women. This will impact His Holiness's hard work of spreading the Dharma.

Hence, CTA should really look into the people that they brought into to serve His Holiness the Dalai Lama. A good background check should be done so that His Holiness's effort is safe and not destroyed by the nasty actions of others.

To be honest, I don't think anyone in the CTA genuinely respect and love the Dalai Lama. The Dalai Lama to them is only a money making tool. The CTA sells the Dalai Lama and his teachings. Last year when the Dalai Lama was sick, the CTA used this as an excuse to cancel his trip to Botswana. But they immediately arranged the Dalai Lama to go on a tour in Japan! If the CTA cares about the Dalai Lama, they would have cancelled all his overseas trips not to continue to make him travel.

When the Dalai Lama made negative comments and angered people, the CTA did not do anything to protect the Dalai Lama's reputation. They just kept quiet. They did not find ways to protect the Dalai Lama. They prefer to keep quiet and sweep everything under the carpet.

Everyone in the CTA and whoever is close to the Dalai Lama are only using the Dalai Lama's name for their own benefits, they pay no respect to the Dalai Lama and they don't care about him.
