This is a very good quote, and I wonder why no one else has said anything about this yet. If we look at our own life, the people we are with, the friends that we have are all there due to some act of love and compassion. Whether it's talking to someone on the train on the way to work, that becomes a friend, or just showing a person close to you how much you care for them by getting them a gift, it's all driven by an innate sense of love and compassion. But alas, it is samsaraic in nature, it needs purification to become something greater that we can use on our path towards the greatest act of love and compassion, enlightenment for others.
