Thanks Dharmaspace for bringing this fab Illustrated story back to our attention. For convenience sake, here's the link to the Illustrated Story Part 1 on youtube http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=nqbI8s8LOKk.

Part 2 can be seen here http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Fsm5wChrsLc.

What i like about this illustrated story is:

1. the story of Dorje Shugden's history is easy to understand - even for someone who is not familiar with Dharma protectors in Buddhism.

2. It is beautifully drawn!

3. The story is related in an objective way - without 'hard selling' Dorje Shugden and without reference to the current politics.

4. The narrative is captivating and clear.

5. It appeals to all ages - from kids to adults!

6. The story is comprehensive - has all the important highlights of Dorje Shugden's previous incarnations

Would be cool if there were other language subtitles.

Thank you (again) webmaster for creating this illustrated true story of this great Protector so that many people can learn the truth about him! Do share it on your facebook walls etc... it deserves to be seen!

This beautiful, visually rich and narrated video is a GEM!

It makes so much easier for me to share Dorje Shugden with my friends. Because the storyline is so clear, I don't need to be physically present to explain further if it's just for an overview. An excellent way to introduce Dorje Shugden to others.

Thank you, DharmaSpace - it's nice to give appreciation to those who took the time, effort, and money spent to make this video!

I have shared it on my Facebook wall, I do hope that my friends will like it.

I really like how the video is not overly dramatic or overly done. It's simple, clear, concise and very captivating. The story is, of course, incredibly interesting, and it's easy to show to others the history of Dorje Shugden. Even my little cousins liked it!!

What great dedication DS.com admin (or people, or person... whoever! haha) have. Thank you so much, and I hope that viewers will appreciate it.

Oh my! you guys are so childish and shallow. Guess the true meaning of having an illustrated story of such a powerful being.  It is to tell you how a wonderful protector has arisen for all of us.  The story reveal the dedication of a Buddha to go through so much just to benefit us.

I cry every time I watch this video with joy and gratitude, that some one so wonderful has gone through for me to live to gain enlightenment.

The illustrated Story is indeed beautifully done and with deep devotion to our GREAT KING PROTECTOR.

I have also downloaded it into my iPad and iPod so that I can watch it every time I feel like it. It also makes it easier for me to share with other friends and people who are open minded. These days with iShare programs, friends can easily transfer the Illustrated Story from my iPod to theirs.

It's wonderful to share even with a younger audience like kids.

What an excellent original creation from this website team! Thanks a million times over!

I'll definitely keep sharing!

As a newbie, I really like this Illustrated Story of Dorje Shugden. It gives a brief yet very clear background knowledge of Dorje Shugden for newbies like me. It also makes it easy for me to share Dorje Shugden with my friends who are new to Dorje Shugden.

I would assume a lot of time has been spend in coming out with the script, illustrations, voice over. Thank you for such a good work!!

If you are new to the practices of Dorje Shugden, like me, and want a quick, brief background on DS, then I highly recommend you to watch this video.

It was superb. It is very very well made, the story is clear and easy to  understand. It gives a very good and brief introduction to DS, and someone like myself could pick it up and comprehend it very quickly.

From the video, I garnered the background, and how the Dharma Protector Dorje Shugden arose. Despite the fact that the video is made with cartoons and narration, it is still caprtivating. The voice of the narrator suits the video well.

This was acutally the first thing I clicked on during my first visit to dorjeshugden.com, and I do hope that there is more in future, maybe illustrating the story of how the ban arose? It could be quite interesting since there is so much material on the website itself.

Hahaha stress? What kind of documentaries have you been watching? ;)

Dont forget to thank the DS.com admin. The artist drew but it was probs admin who told the artist what kind of look or feel they wanted for the illustrated lifestory, or what points to focus on. Theyre always coming up with new ways to spread DS... think it started with the brochures way back some time last year. THATS dedication.

When i first saw this Illustrated Story, I'm so exciting and thankful to dorjeshugden.com for coming with this brilliant idea. It helps me to explain to my relative and friends, it make so easy to let them know the history, lineage, and the High Lamas' background who practice Shugden.

It gave them a clearer picture of Shugden practice, on top of that it sent a message to them that if this protector is evil or not effective, why people spent time and energy to produce this illustrated story with voice over and nice images, for sure someone have been benefited by Dorje Shugden.

Thank you so much for all the hard-work!

Even after watching this video a couple of times I still feel its an interesting video to watch over and over again. Good and easy way to share to beginners about who is Dorje Shugden and the role of a dharma protector. Dharma Protectors help us not to go deeper into samsara. Its very nice to have the lore of Dorje Sugden explained to us , how this universal dharma protector arose in the first place. Lets help the site to bump up the number of views till 100k, people. To show our gratitude to the people who brought to live this video.

I've been showing a few of my friends the illustrated story from this website to introduce them to DS. And I must say, it makes things easier and 8 out of 10 of them have downloaded the prayer. Out of 8, 5 of them say their prayer every day and they come to this website very often to find out more about the development of DS.

Thank you admin for thinking of these amazing concept for us to use as tools to spread our protector far and wide.

The Illustrated story was the first thing I clicked when I stumbled upon www.dorjeshugden.com.

It is by far one of the best educational videos I've watched. Whether or not it is about Dorje Shugden, that's not the point.. it's just a really well made video that gave me, a newbie, a solid background to Dorje Shugden - who he is. I just watched it and went.... "ooooh". It was comprehensive, factual, educational, and informative... I was well impressed with the video. Beside, the narration is lively and enthusiastic.

I highly recommend it, and there are so many points that you can gather in there which highlights that Dorje Shugden is not a spirit. The fact which stood out most was when the Mindroling Lama was called to "capture" Dorje Shugden, Setrap appeared to distract and therefore the Mindroling Lama was unsuccessful..If Dorje Shugden was an evil spirit, Setrap wouldn't come to help him. And eventually even the 5th Dalai Lama realised his good qualities and wrote a praise for Dorje Shugden.

xx

I <3 this Dorje Shugden illustrated story. It made all the various stories of Dorje Shugden join together in a simple and easy educational show that reveals the nature, power and history behind this great Protector. I have downloaded it and show it to people when I need to explain about Dorje Shugden. Next, would be to figure out how to get the video onto my phone!

it's great that there is so much positive feedback about the illustrated story. I've showed it to several friends and their kids and the great thing is that it appeals across the board, whatever age you are. It gives a broad view to the entire story from the beginning... and the roles that HH Pabongkha Rinpoche and HH Trijang Rinpoche played in bringing this sacred practice to us today.

I know the admin of this website has probably heard it all before but here it is again and i can never say it enough - thank you!

I think this should definitely be translated into Tibetan as it will become useful and easy it would be for the young monks in the monastery to learn from. Imagine a new educational tool for learning about the history of DS implemented in all Shugden monasteries. Super cool. :)

What would help promote this comic book more is to allow it to be sold in selected bookshops as an entertainment comic and that would help hit a wide audience of people who would see it as just another action comic book or something and pick it up and read it and buy it. It could really help spread Dorje Shugden to more people who might actually need him to change their lives into something better or bring in spirituality into their lives...or maybe even save the lives of some who might otherwise die without Dorje Shugden's intervention. I would really like to see more and more ways of how the comic is being distributed, either by language or by bookshops..
