Not so fast. India might want to move on but what about the land grab of South Tibet, which India invaded and annexed in 1951 (almost four years after the British Raj has left) and occupy it to this day? Tawang, South Tibet is the birthplace of the Sixth Dalai Lama and home to a four hundred years old Tibetan monastery. South Tibet is renamed to the so called Arunachal Pradesh by India in 1987. Since 2009 South Tibet is recognized as a United Nation disputed territory.

India needs to move on and cannot be drag by CTA. India is having a great relationship with China and CTA is torn between them. India already starts limiting the Tibetan movement and CTA will not have the same treatment as before. The Indian government needs to take care of their people's feeling and CTA needs to do something in order to stay longer in India.

CTA already feels the pressure and should work out its relationship with China in order for Dalai Lama and Tibetan to return.

Tibetan in India has created so much trouble and unpeace situation not only to their own Tibetans but also to their host, India. If we look at what CTA and Dalai Lama doing, we can't see what actually they want to achieve. All their actions are contradicting.

For example, Tibetan is refugees in India. What a leader would do is to unite their people and take good care of them but what the Tibetan leadership did was impose a religious ban on their own people, discriminate them and even act violently towards their own Tibetan. What kind of leaders is this? One hand they ask for freedom for their country from China but on the other hand the steal away their people's religious choice of right? What kind of democratic example are they showing?

Another example which is every spiritual lineage has its own tradition to recognize their own leader and Tibetan leadership will step in to recognize their own leader for the lineage. What kind of democracy is this?

From those few examples, we can see that Tibetan leadership is really unable to lead their people. We are just mentioning the problem created by their leaders and the list can continue ut we never see anything improvement from CTA in terms of the Tibetan welfare.

For the longest 60 years of Tibetan in India, has CTA contributed anything to India? Yet we have heard how Dalai Lama speech cause anger among the Indians. That is so weird because has Dalai Lama forgotten that he's staying in India through the kindness of the Indian?

So you can see from here, Is there any reason for India not to close and just get rid of Tibetan?

India has hosted Tibetan for the last 60 years, it is a very long time. After 60 years of hosting, there is no result in Free Tibet movement. There is no clear plan from the Tibetan leadership how to move forward. How much longer does the Tibetans want India to host them for?

Tibetans are using the resources in India but never contribute anything to their tax system. Yet, the Tibetans are not happy, they still want more help from the Indian government. At the same time, they are creating problems to the Indian government by condemning China.

Tibetans will not be satisfied, they have live a life a beggar for the past 60 years. Money comes easy for them, they will not work hard for it. They will continue to use Tibet issue to beg for free money.

The CTA really does not have bargaining power. People who support them will not get any benefit from them and the CTA expects these people to give them financial support because they are political victims. Tibetans have been living like a beggar for the past 60 years, they don't understand they have to work hard to build their country and economy.

Who has the money to continue to support the CTA and the Tibetans for long? They are a burden! They leech on India for 60 years and expect India to keep giving them support. They are really taking things for granted! Why do the Tibetans think India should support them forever?

It is for sure that Tibet will never be an independent state, the CTA and Lobsang Sangay should just forget about the Free Tibet movement and follow what the Dalai Lama wants, i.e., to get the autonomous status for Tibet. But apparently, Lobsang Sangay does not respect the Dalai Lama, he even argue with the Dalai Lama!

India is very kind to host Tibetans for the past 60 years. There is no doubt that the presence of the Dalai Lama and other high lamas have helped to bring tourists to India but what Tibetans have contributed to India is nothing compared to what India has given to them.

India is working very hard to resolve the conflicts and disagreements with China so that their relationship can improve and they can work together to grow stronger and make Asia the next superpower. When Asia has become the next superpower, Asians cannot be bullied or suppressed by the westerners anymore. We have been bullied by the western powers for more than a century, this has to be changed.

The CTA is so selfish that its members of parliament only look at what they can get. They don't realise if Asia becomes strong, they will get even bigger benefits. All I can say is the CTA is short-sighted, selfish and backward. They are ungrateful because they are not helping India to improve its relationship with China. They could have done this as a gesture of appreciation instead of organising the "Thank you India" event which is a waste of money and so superficial.

It is clear that why India decided to put China as a priority over the Tibetans. Since 1959, the Tibetans had been giving problems to India government. The Indians have been nothing but kind towards the Tibetans but in return, the ungrateful Tibetans did not give anything back to the Indians for 60 years.

When China rises above all and became one of the most powerful countries in the world with her humongous economy, India decided that it is time to reconcile its differences with China to gain profit and benefit to further strengthen their country.

Tibetan in exile should learn their lesson and make up their mind and leave Tibetan settlements for good. There is nothing there for them and they should know it better. They should leave and fight for a better future instead of waiting for their useless government to fight for the Tibetan cause. The cause is dead and there is no way CTA can ever get China to let go of Tibet.

India is clever for prioritizing their relationship with China over their relationship with the Tibetans. China can provide so many benefits to Indian citizens while CTA only causes problems for the Indian government. CTA has been free-loading in India for the past 60 years and they did nothing to get out of their situation. They planned to continue to be in India forever until China decide to miraculously hand them back their country, Tibet.

CTA had wasted the past 60 years doing nothing to achieve Tibetan cause and they are just waiting for a miracle to drop from the sky. Instead of focusing on how to connect with China to negotiate with them to get Tibet back, they do all kinds of petty things such as Dorje Shugden ban for power game and for their own benefits.

They created such a mess in the Tibetan community which resulted in a lot of disharmonies. Hence, Tibetan are not united now and they always fight among each other. Tibetans can even create a scene at the celebration of His Holiness the Dalai Lama's birthday who is highly revered by them. From this, we can see the level of mindset of the Tibetans have.

The writing is on the wall for the Tibetan Leadership in Exile. India, their host country, looks set to act on the warming up of relationships between it and China. It is crucial for India , in the long term, to play its card with China well. The Indian authorities' dealings with the Tibetan leadership are proving more and more to be a thorn in the flesh, as Lobsang Sangay refuses to bow to the changing world scenario of Tibet being recognised by more and more countries to be a part of China. It will be unwise for India to continue to use the "Tibetan card" to provoke China.

Hence, the postponement of the 13th religious conference is an indication of larger and more long-term issues like the above. It is time for the Tibetan leadership to play the Tibetan unity card and lift the ban on Dorje Shugden practice. Lobsang Sangay and the Tibetan leadership should drop their belligerence towards China and instead seek to improve relationships with China before the Indian government decides to "close the Tibetan file"!

Unlike 5 years ago, Tibetan leader Lobsang Sangay is not invited to Prime Minister Modi's swearing-in ceremony this time. It is clear that PM Modi of India snubs the Tibetan leadership once again in favour of deeper ties with China. The Tibetan leadership finds itself increasingly isolated as nobody wants to offend China by lending any support to the ungrateful Tibetans.

May. 30, 2019
DHARAMSHALA, May 30: The Indian Prime Minister who is fresh off of a massive win in the Indian Lok Sabha elections has done a U-turn by not inviting exile Tibetan government’s President to the swearing in ceremony due to be held later today, in a bid to not anger Beijing.
The President of the exile Tibetan government, known officially as the Central Tibetan Administration, Dr. Lobsang Sangay’s absence today at the Rashtrapati Bhavan in New Delhi marks a stark contrast to 2014 when the elected Tibetan leader was seated in the former rows at the ceremony when PM Modi was sworn into office the first time around.
The invitation to Dr. Sangay in May 2014 drew strong objection from the Chinese government who lodged an official protest censuring New Delhi’s disregard for the so-called ‘One-China policy’. Many said at the time that the invite was posturing at most, of Modi’s intent to India’s neighbor and biggest rivals both in Asia and global arenas.
The New Delhi-Beijing relations post the Doklam stand off and Wuhan summit has meant that India has given a cold shoulder to the exile Tibetan set up, thereby taking a step back in using the much-touted ‘Tibet card’. The shift in policy has markedly been seen on the ground with New Delhi issuing an advisory to senior leaders to avoid His Holiness the Dalai Lama or pushing the CTA to shift the “thank you India” ceremony from New Delhi to Dharamshala last year.
The head of the Tibetan polity who extended pleasantries to PM Modi on his win, however may have anticipated the snub. Days after Modi’s historic election win, Sangay flew to the United States and is scheduled to return on June 5 to India next week.
