If Dorje Shugden is really an evil spirit, why would the Dalai Lama be giving teachings on Tantras based on books written by Dorje Shugden's past incarnation, Panchen Sonam Dragpa? More so that both the Dalai Lama and the CTA would not have approved the books written by Panchen Sonam Dragpa to be republished in English. It is just ironic that the Dalai Lama is denying the fact that Dorje Shugden is indeed an enlightened protector, using excuses to put Dorje Shugden down. Just thinking that the 5th Dalai Lama composed a prayer for Dorje Shugden during Tulku Dragpa Gyaltsen' death would be a slap towards this ban that is now going on. With the ban going on it would only tell the world that the past 5th Dalai Lama to the 13th Dalai Lama are all wrong. They should not have prayed to Droje Shugden, the great 5th should not have molded a Dorje Shugden statue or written a prayer to Dorje Shugden at all. It is just ironic to flip the fact around, accusing in an indirect way that all the great lineage masters of the Gelug Lineage are wrong.
