Manjushri practice is essential in this modern era because of what he represents. Manjushri represents wisdom which governs the foundation of thinking, logic, and reasoning. By praying and propitiating to Manjushri on a daily basis, we can remove the obscurations within our mind, enabling us to see clearly who we are and where we are going. At a deeper level, Manjushri practice provides a source of inspiration, power, and fuel for one’s spiritual journey.

Having understood the concept of Manjushri, we can see that Manjushri manifested into various forms to help us on our spiritual path. Over time and again, Manjushri had arisen as Guru, who possessed all the qualities, excel in both sutra and tantra, and able to convey Buddha Dharma to us.

Manjushri had also arisen as our Yidam to tame our mind. And finally, Manjushri had arisen as our Dharma Protector to grant us swift aid and removal of worldly obstacles so that practitioners can focus on the spiritual practice.

As the Grand Master, GesheTsultrim Gyaltsen had so rightly pointed out that "Enlightenment is not possible without Manjushri", we must cherish this one in thousands chance of knowing about Manjushri by making a strong connection with him through his prayers and practice.

Manjushri is praised as the Father of All Buddhas as he embodies the wisdom that is necessary for one to achieve enlightenment. As per the great Mahasiddha Geshe Tsultrim Gyaltsen once expounded that: Enlightenment is not possible without Manjushri.

In this degenerate time , we shall grateful that if we are able to find a qualified guru with a pure lineage. Because only a qualified guru is able to guide and teach the dharma for the benefits of all sentient beings. Now, an emanation of Manjushri i.e. dharma protector Dorje Shugden arose in order to protect the precious teachings of Lama Tsongkhapa. With the strong faith in Manjushri, Lama Tsongkhapa, Dorje Shugden, guru and the efforts in practicing dharma, it is believed one may achieve enlightenment within a short span of time.

Dear DS.com

Thank you for this beautiful and meaningful article. Manjushri is a Buddha that we can rely on in all aspects of life. He gave us wisdom, the protection against inner and outer obstacles and eventually brings us to enlightenment. We are very fortunate that in this degenerated time to be connected with lord Manjushri.

Very briefly, from teh article, Manjushri is the Father of all Buddhas meaning that he is the foundation of wisdom, foundation of thinking, logic and reasoning.

Manjushri as the Guru , who guides the spiritual aspirant onto the path of practice and realization.

Manjushri as yidam, who tames and set our minds on the path of fruition,

Manjushri as the dharma protector who employs skillful means to guide sentient beings to enlightenment with security, assurance and a guiding hand to help us move in the right direction.

So, that means it is easier as we need not propitiate so many deities. In this time and age, we are always rushing and 24 hours is not enough time in a day. We will become familiar with Manjushri very fast and also have the close connection very fast and we build a very strong foundation with Manjushri.

This is awesome!

Manjushri is simply amazing. I have been reciting his mantra to my pet parrot that was rescued from a pet shop. His was abused an abandoned. Hence, he has some emotional trauma and illness. I notice that when I recite Manjushri mantra for him, he has become more gentle and calm.

Once he got excited and started to peck at my feet. I gently recited the mantra and he calmed down.

Manjushri is a powerful, kind and all encompassing practice.

Manjushri is very popular and is one of the most importance dharma practice in this era. I have been making prayers and offerings to Manjushri since young, but only until now i know how importance and beneficial Manjushri are to all of us.

Manjushri is everything we can think of in our dharma practice and growth:-

1) The Father of All Buddhas
The Buddhas are considered to be the perfection of two collections – Merit and Wisdom, with Manjushri serving as the Father (Wisdom) component of enlightenment.

2) Manjushri as Guru
Manjushri has taken on the form of Bodhisattvas, Mahasiddhas and even ordinary beings, as if in a drama, to suit the propensities of each and every individual.

Examples of the Great Teachers manifested by Manjushri
-great teacher-yogi Longchenpa
-Sakya Pandita Kunga Gyaltsen
-Je Tsongkapa Lobsang Drakpa

3) Manjushri the Yidam

- Kriya Tantras
Manjushri appears at the entry level to overcome difficulties for the practitioner in order to set their minds on the path of spiritual practice

-Charya Tantras
Manjushri creates conducive conditions for spiritual growth, bringing resources and clearing obstructive factors in order for us to ground ourselves in Buddhist study and practice

-Yoga tantras
Prepares the practitioner’s body and mind for the Highest Anuttara Yoga Tantra teachings. Manjushri manifests as the ferocious Yamantaka, complete with many hands carrying various weapons and legs trampling on different forms of opposing forces.

4) Manjushri the Protector

Manjushri has manifested as dharma protectors to safeguard the practitioner:-

-Four-Faced Mahakala guards the Heruka tantras
-Dharmaraja Kalarupa guards the Lower Scope of the Lamrim and Yamantaka Tantras.
-Dorje Shugden, the Dharma protector of Je Tsongkapa’s teachings, to preserve the lineage and the practitioners who have entered into the teachings

The most deadly poison to human's minds is IGNORANCE. From IGNORANCE stems all the other poisons of ATTACHMENT, DESIRES, ANGER,PRIDE and JEALOUSY etc. To counter IGNORANCE we need the WISDOM. Hence we all must take refuge in Buddha Manjushri the Buddha of Wisdom to attain the correct view to remove all our ignorance which is the root of all our problems.

Manjushri practices are indeed important and timely for our practices now.

Like what Ronykhan has said. Manjushri is our Yidam and Protector. Manjushri has manifested in many different ways to benefit practitioners constantly it is just endless how He has repeatedly came back to this world showing miraculous powers just to benefit people, bringing us closer to enlightenment and bringing us away from the induced pain that we create.

Manjushri is the Guru, Yidam and Protector. Through his kindness he is helping all sentient beings gain wisdom to get out of delusions to be enlightened. Manjushri needs to appear in different forms to help us , as each individual being has different afflictions and karma. As a Protector he is no other than Dorje Shugden. Manjushri/Dorje Shugden need to manifest as a Dharmapala in this degenerate Kaliyuga age, to help remove all our obstacles in our practice; including keeping the purity of the Lama Tsongkapa teachings. How fortunate we are ! Rejoice !
Hence, the DS Ban must come down in order for all sentient beings to have access to the Dorje Shugden practice !
